PS3 to sell 121 million units by 2012

Sony's smart, they're creating supply and demand. The PS3 will be more successful, because Nintendo and Microsoft are shipping out millions of units at a time, where as Sony release a few, you increase the demand and sell right away as compared to just sitting on the shelf.

PS3 games today wouldn't even fill up a normal DVD, have you seen the 1up videos? They've had PS3 debug consoles for months, and the final games take up less than 1cm of space on each disc at about 1.5 - 2.5GB of total game data.

Uh. Yeah. You're a dumbfuck. Sony's not CREATING supply and demand by not shipping out enough PS3s. They just don't physically have enough. If it was true, then it would certainly work as well, but people said a similar thing about Microsoft and the 360 shortages, but it's common sense that then, and now, the supply is due to not being able to make enough

no, it pales horribly in comparison. Without GT the whole import scene would not have been nearly as large as it's been, there aren't many games that can have influence like that. And when the new one gets released you will see the following get going again.

wrong. they're not creating anything. they really can't keep the shelves stocked, just like Wii can't and the 360 couldn't.

360 has games, PS3 doesn't. 360 has a dominating online system, PS3 doesn't. 360 has a big headstart, PS3 doesn't.

360 wins. Bye.

what about em? Oblivion? Gears of War? you tell me the one or two games you've played on PS2 and then explain how that means you've played them all on the ps2. go on.

They will go in and ask for a playstation w/o even lookin down the aisle.

"A weee? wtf is that? Johnny plays his playstation all the time, so i better just get the new version"

The PS3 will still be sold six years from now?

It is already lackluster compared to PC hardware, and will be just obsolete to it in a year or two.

How long until after launch have gaming consoles dropping in price?

The PS3 isn't going to price drop for awhile. Most definately not in 'the coming months'. I'm betting sometime in mid '08
