PS3 is better for your money, if you dont see it, you're a dumbass

honestly Resistance is better than anything that was available on 360 launch day. And GTHD and Motorstorm Demo are probably better than any of the 360 launch titles were as well. Ive played more GTHD in 3 days than I ever played COD2 for 360 when I got it at lanuch

Cost of 360 vs PS3:

$599 PS3 = 60gb, WiFi, Mem Card Readers, HDMI, Blu Ray, Online Gaming
no need for anything else + $5.99 HDMI cable

$399 360 = 20gb, DVD player
Add-ons needed to make it comparible:
$99 for WiFi adapter, $20 USB Card Reader , $200 HD DVD Addon, $50 for Live = 360 cost ~$770 and short on 40gb of storage and HDMI

ive always said it was the better deal. plus the ability to swap hard drives is a very moot point too. one that isnt talked about a lot but its there

I want my console to be a console. I don't want it to be a video player. If I want a Blu-Ray or a HD-DVD, I will buy one when they are cheaper. The PS3 doesn't come with the cords in order to hook up the 1080p view, so how much does that add?

Oh yeah, I also don't need the wireless since I have a hardwire to the TV and I don't need a memory card reader either.

So, why is it a better deal when I don't want the stuff that it is forcing me to buy?

From what I've played of resistance, there really isn't anything to me that sets it apart from any other FPS. GTHD is just more of the same with shinier graphics. Motostorm is fun though....when does that come out?

...and where you have me confused is I'm not really going to defend the 360 launch. I barely played it until GoW came out. The thing is, I see absolutely no reason to be trumpeting the PS3 as the greatest gaming console ever When there's something worth the hype, I'll be crowing about it like everyone else. I shit talked the 360 for the majority of this past year. When there's something that's praise worthy, I'll give it, but right now there is nothing special about the PS3, especially considering it's price.

All signs point to HD-DVD winning the format war. And by going with the XBox 360 I can wait and see. I haven't locked myself into one format or the other. I can play video games for now and when there is a clear winner I can then decide if I want to purchase a Blu-Ray player or the HD-DVD add-on. Much safer choice the way I see it.

only dumbasses pay full retail price for xbox360 hardware. i got my 360-premium and hddvd drive for about $500. i owe a big thanks to whoever posted that 20%-off overstock.com coupon on OT

the ps3 needs more exclusive games to come out before i can consider getting one. until then, the 360 and wii will hold me over nicely
