PS3 is better for your money, if you dont see it, you're a dumbass

I was in BB about a week after launch and they had them in stock so I picked one up...then they weren't going for shit on ebay so I decided to keep it. Actually, I was going to sell it regardless, but my wife talked me into keeping it because she knew I'd buy one eventually anyhow I'm a fan of games and I know there will eventually be games out for it that I'll thoroughly enjoy...I'm just not fond of how sony has handled anything to this point and the offerings have been less than stellar. I'll be getting MG whenever it comes out. I just like to bring people back to reality who are all googly eyed over it when there really isn't much to be thrilled about right now.

tru, and obviously there will be a shit fuck of games in 07. does everyone forget X360 had about 20 games at launch too, and everyone of them sucked?

launch games always suck (unless its a Nintendo launch aparently)

but the day I got my PS3, my 360 was sold immediately. PS3 owns it in every way possible (except gay ass voice chat which I never used once in the year i had it)

Paying for a movie format that will become obsolete doesn't make it better for my money. I also don't want to pay for mem card readers that I would never use. PS3 online is free because it would be a crime for Sony to charge us for that shitty interface. XBox live is worth the money because of it's features. Live offers a much better online experience.

well, since you're bargain shopping for pieces, why don't you throw in the $150 HD-DVD player for sale, a no-name netowrk adapter and card reader?

Fact is, you're buying a GAME console. If I want a blu-ray player, I'll buy a blu-ray player, why do I have to pay a premium for your "OMG, greatest bargain on earth" system? It's just retarded and sets a shitty prescedent for future consoles.

My $0.02 on the format war is it'll wind up being like SACD vs. DVD-A. I just think it's going to take people far too long to adopt HDTV en mass for it to really matter.

That makes games better how? I can find it in myself to get up after 40 or so hours of gameplay and change a disc if it means I don't have to spend an extra hundred or two

yeah, the game selection sucks. the future game line up DOES look great (only considering the fact if sony stops losing all of it's exclusives ). but i really doubt there will be a title released on the PS3 that will rival gears of war, at least within the next year. or two.

You don't know that it will become obsolete it is much to early to tell and ya the PS3 is the better deal for the hardware, but the system that will win the console war will be the one with the games that are the funnest to play

06 shutup.

Tank, your argument is moot.

On the serious side though, its all about getting more content. I'm tired of seeing mediocre games. The box is full of that. The PS3 keeps me happy with NCAA 07 for PS2 and Sudoku, with a touch of GTHD. But I won't lie. I'm sure the PS3 will have some stinkers as well.

Wrong - all I want my console to do is play games.. A $400 x360 plays games just as well as the x360 with all of the accessories. Plus, you can get an x360 premium as low as $200 now (microcenter).

In short, wii360 > PS3.
