No, most hdtv's IN HOMES do not have an HDMI in, they might have a DVI port, they might have a VGA port and they almost certainly have component inputs.
I'm wondering if you can output video through the HDMI and then output sound from the RCA's AND the Optical.
The reason I ask is because my TV has DVI so I would need a convert cable for the TV video. The RCA's would run to the TV and the Optical would run to the suround sound receiver.
