PS3: Component Cables Sold Separately

The only good thing that might come out of this is Sony offering a $15-20 HDMI-DVI cable instead of the normal $100 Monster crap that people get stuck with.

Still cheaper to get them online though

Stats, stat!

I've got two D4's, a dvi, a vga, component, composite and RG-6, but no HDMI myself...

It's an older HD set, but HDMI just started showing up on everything not too long ago.

Yeah, monster cable for like an 8 or 4 foot run is ridiculous... Even more ridiculous when you see the fact that it is a DIGITAL cable.

Take your pick

I didn't even bother to check which is cheapest, if monoprice is the cheapest then

I remember an OTer worked for one of the cable companies and hooked it up with some discount codes but, I've since forgotten who it was

Actually, most do. It's the new standard for HD connectors.

Are you seriously bragging about a $10 cable being included?

That first article is about the Japan release. Nowhere says anything about the US box.

EDIT: BUt I'll be the first to admit that if they do that in the US too, then it's foolish and lame.
