Check to see if it's wired correctly. Contact kicker, they'll be able to help you better than any of us here. And consult your user manual. The troubleshooting section works wonders when something does wrong. But if it's going into protection when it turns on, generally means that it's wired incorrectly. Check the wiring and contact kicker. That's your best bet. A lot of things can cause an amp to go into protection. To low of voltage, incorrect wiring, ground cable isn't attached/faulty, internal circuitry is messed up, connection between head unit and amp is awry, or the connection between the battery and amp is borked.
