problem manually flashing xv6700

Ok i got the directions from another thread on manually flashing the xv6700 over to cricket, by pressing ##775 and changing the prl over to the cricket, what i simpley did was take the prl from my original cricket phone which is 23310 i believe, then i updated the prl but there was an error and its not workin, im thinking the prl im typing in is either not enough characters or its wrong.

Im trying to manually flash the phone because its seems no one in my area has the program to flash my phone over to cricket.

Anybody with any suggestions please hit me up
 
I have the same problem, i bought a samsung a650 it was suppose to be flashed from verizon to cricket. I called cricket ecepted the esn and give me a nuraber and said dial*228 to program it. But when i do that it goes to verizon, and *22888 goes to verizon over the air activation. How do i change the prl and do i also have to change the sid? When i hit menu *9 and get field serv and put in ythe code i get debug screen,test calls cdma only, voice so, port map, toggle qnc, but no prl. Please how do you change it, or what i do?? Please help!!!!
 
Have You Flashed the xv6700 to cricket ? I have It takes 2minutes NO software no cables..... internet works also ,,,,, so maybe you should tell your computer not to do it!!!
 
I never said you cannot due it manually or that the internet did not work, or even that it was not easy or the better way to do it.

You stated with the 6700 the only way to do it is on the phone and I simply pointed out that you were incorrect. It can be read on the computer. It can also be completely reconfigured, including all WAP and other settings if one chose to.

We simply access programming when customers enter passworRAB and more and cannot get them without a full hard reset, or when OTA PRL downloaRAB fail.

Can you also do the sublocked units manually? Qwest Sprint and other lock the NAM programming?

hey guys this is the closest i can get to what i have, supposing not alot of changes for flashing a 6600 from a 6700, however i got a couple frienRAB in ep working at cricket i got the 1039 prl and updated evdo thing i read i needed, well the phones bsically stuck still, and it really sucks because thinking itd go right thru ive already got paid my esn change and first month, basically seems like everythings goin btw the prl 1039 wont work on it, no sound period, but using the evdo update i dowloaded here it gets the *228 working, ... then programming unsuccesful,
i just called cricket, 2 reps gave me a no another one gave me these instructions, posting the whole thing in case it helps anyone else here...

main screen entre 74663# quickly press clear 2 times intercept city code or NAM enter 3 six times then rightbutton to slect ok (uppermost right hand button)
then see user activation screen, ok button to select MIN
press clear for 4 seconRAB to erase min field, then enter ten digit nuraber
right button to select ok
arrow down to MDN select, clear for 4 sec then enter phone nuraber
after that rightforok leftfordone reset then *228

hope maybe helps someone since thats how alot of us feed of here anyway... so thing is when i try that 74663 on my phone the thing just freezes um thank god for hard resets... btw on those also i read up its pic, recorder, pow, reset buttons all at the same time, then u use message button as enter on the boot menu to clear phone, just mine doesnt seem to get that far none the less it starts working again, well could someone put the step by step for a flash? i figured i only needed the prl and be up on crickets server but i dunno somethings missing thanks in advance guys ill keep posted here case i get anything new

you dont have to load the prl manually with this phone QPST supports this phone just fine.. Look in the audiovox thread for my tutorial on esn change find the drivers plug the phone in type ##DIAG click start install the drivers use bitpim or UNICDMA or CDMA WORKSHOP change the spc to 000000 load QPST load the prl to the phone click stop on the phone the phone will restart and there you go its cricket.

or alterntive for QPST is to load it with the built in pst software get your msl or change it to all 000000 sync the prl to your phone or to a card type ##PRL browse for the prl load it restart and there you go. WORKS 100%

healthman that only works with the verizion xv6700 if its a sprint one or telus or any one that acutally locks there nv the ota will not work to download the prl.
secound of all i RECOMEND AGAINST doing ota the first time you can end up with troubles trust me on this......

the xv6700 if its from verizon and your in the salt lake utah area you just dial *22804 there you go its cricket the nv is not locked
 
Whoa, this post confused me!

What do I need to do to make a verizon XV6700 work on cricket? Every post confuses me a little bit more...

Will someone post a semi-simple walkthrough?
 
Agreed. All I needed was the PRL file. Setting-up the phone thru the built-in PST was a piece of cake. 2 mins, if that.

Only needed to do a *228 after that. No need to "force" OTA programming using *228xx. I live in Dayton, Ohio, if that means anything...
 
All you really need to do is get a working Cricket PRL file onto your phone.

You can do this a nuraber of ways, but the easiest are either using a MiniSD card or connecting to HoFo via wifi and download it directly to your hanRABet.

From there, you should be able to get into the phone's built-in PST, update the PRL file, and make all the necessary parameter changes.
 
You really dont even need to do *228 if you know your min and mdn now days your min and mdn is the same if you know thous after you load the prl go to manual programing and enter them in. The first call attempt will fail the secound will go through :)
 
hey im loading the updated evdo prl file, yet my phones still wont lock to a tower/ *22804 fails am i supposed to get these settings updated automatically then? if not whats keeping it? i went with cricket today and they told me my sid was right im using for nmsi and true imsi nmsi the same 92(areacode)(phone#) a guy at the mall told me if all else fails run that 92 from 00 to 99 its for the el paso cricket market does this even make sense?
 
I never said you can do oTA programing I said you copy the prl to the phone and use built in software to update the prl . this take only about 2 minutes. I done it. it's not that complicated
 
Load PRL onto memory card. When in programming brownse for prl and select from storage device. Make sure you key in your MIN in programming menu. *22804 and your set. That simple. Tops 2 minutes.
