problem manually flashing xv6700

I bought my phone over ebay and it was supposed to already be flashed but it wasn't so I attempted to manually flash my xv6700 from verizon to cricket. I already have been to the cricket store twice and have my MIN, MDN, SID and have changed the NAM but after I put in the *228 it is still going to the verizon network and not cricket....what am I doing wrong?? What exactly is the prl for? Do you think this might be why it won't connect for Cricket service?? thanks in advance : :help:

seems to me that you have every thing in place except for 1 thing... you need to update your PRL file with eather the PST on the phone or with QPST there are many walkthroughs on this forum and PPCGeeks. listed both under the PPC6700 (Apache) and PPC6800 (Mogul)
