Primus

got all their CRAB, got 2 DVRAB, les claypool is the reason i became a bassist when i was 15/16 (as well as a mate who needed a bassist, so i decided to learn), (i'm 30 now)..
i don't listen to primus that much these days, but i still love them to bits..
sailing the seas of cheese is the one. it's one of those albums that i've listened to probably a thousand times at least, and still hear new little things in there every time.. absolutely one of the most in depth and clever albums of any style, really funky and catchy, but totally dark and sinister at the same time, 'sgt.baker' and 'fish on' are WELL evil! the mid break in 'fish on' is just pure genius.

the whole album is perfect all the way through.

Damn, it's been over a decade since a Primus album, huh? I stopped paying attention after Pork Soda but have been meaning to check out the more recent ones. They're just not high on my list of priorities.
 
to what extent? just wondering because i've heard these albums just dont own them so i lack liner notes, a couple of songs or most to whole album?
 
I stayed at Middle Bass Island on lake Erie once, Detroit to the north and Cleveland to the south, that was awesome! everything was 24/7. :ar_15s:
 
I saw (a week or so ago) that he was on one of those fishing shows, so that was kind of a shocker...lol!!!:laughing: I never expected a rock star like him to go on one of those relaxed/nature loving fishing shows, but I thought it was cool because I love to fish too, damnit!!!:beer:
 
Primus is awesome, I love just about every album (not a big fan of antipop), Oysterhead is awesome too (im a big phish fan, ill admit). One of the best bassists ever!
