Gorgeous Icons!

P&P was the first movie in a really long time that had some weird effect on me. It was just so heart warming and lovely, and one of those films that as soon as you finish watching it a huge smile comes across your face, and you have to watch it again.

I saw the Firth version. It was ok but it didn't captivate me as the movie did. Their moments were too intense in the movie.

Because this movie was awesome...

Darcy's line in the rain, "Forgive me madame, for taking up so much of your time."
:in_love: With Matthew's acting in that scene is just perfect, with how he holds himself and his voice that just gives me goosebumps.

I love Colin, but I wish I could mold Matthew and Colin together and make one Darcy.

Ooooo and Matthew's voice when he said, "Forgive me madam, for taking up so much of your time." :thud::drool::in_love: Matthew has one of the most sexiest voices I have ever heard.

And I'm just thinking to myself, Elizabeth go after him and accept! Whickham is a swine, he's lied to you, your letting a great man go. You will regret this, and later in the movie of course she does. I love the scene where he's brought Bringly over to purpose to Jane and Elizabeth just can't stop looking at Darcy. And then she's upset when she finds out that he's leaving again. And he thinks she still wants nothing to do with him, so he won't look at her.

Great scene is the Bennetts at the ball, I love that scene because they really come across as a family. Of course they play the typical family that you are :embarrassment: embarrassed to be around. Mrs. Bennett, Lydia, and Kitty are all drunk and making scenes of themselves. Mr. Bennett is a kind father being there for Mary when her piano playing gets criticize and she's crying in the corner. The Mr. Bennett in the miniseries was always so cold to his other daughters, I like this one better. And Mrs. Bennett was so annoying with that voice and how she stuff her face. But this time I truly understood how she could be so focus on marrying her daughters off in any way offered.

I love the scene where Elizabeth is pacing outside her father's study as she waits for her father to give his content for Darcy and her to marry. Then Darcy appears and she closes the door as slowly as she can, so they can look at each other as long as possible. And then we see Darcy doing the same exact thing and waiting outside for what Mr.Bennett tells Elizabeth. And all the family is just so speechless that Elizabeth has brought Darcy back home to get her father's approval for marriage.

I love this movie

I just saw this recently and I was surprised by how much I loved it. I'd always liked the long A&E Colin Firth one, so I thought I wouldn't like this one - I was totally wrong. Keira was so great as Lizzie.

Yeah, I have a really slow computer so the video doesn't load very fast on YouTube. I think you could upload the video to YouSendIt or I think it can even be emailed. PM me if you want to email it. Thanks! :)

That's what I love about Matthew as well. He doesn't get caught up in all the hype and bs. He has a sense of humor about life which is great. I'm glad he's a character actor, I like watching those kind of actors work more than the others. It's sad that there aren't many character actors out there anymore, but those who are...those are the most fun to watch.

I just recently got my hands on MI-5/Spooks Volume I. All I can say is...:thud: I really enjoyed the storylines, the acting, everything. It's a great series and how can you not love Tom Quinn? MM does a wonderful job playing him. This was also my first time seeing Keeley act and she does a great job playing Zoe as well. Now I need to try to find Volume II. :D

I just watched the movie again tonight and I still love it. :) I can't wait to see more work from Matthew. He portrayed Darcy so well. It seems it's hard to find his other work in the states though. :(

I've read the book, seen the BBC version and this one. This version is my favorite, most def. Matthew's Darcy is more likeable for one.

I finally got around to buying this after putting it off for... a really long time. I still really love it. I haven't seen the BBC version (yet, I'm working on it) but I have read the book and loved that as well.

Saw this movie last year and I loved it. I'm not usually into Romantic Movies (of any genre), but for some reason, after watching Something New, I've been on a Romance sort of kick, and Pride and Prejudice was start of it. Brilliant Performances by all the cast (especially Keira Knightley, who proves she a excellent performer despite everyone's misgivings), beautiful music and all around dreamy movie that manages to do what few romantic movies can. And that's move you with its characters, who are truly dimensional personalities.

My favorite scene is undoubtedly the end of the film when Darcy is approaching Elizabeth through the morning mist and everything following afterward. Especially the end, which I thought was sweet.
