potential ownage, iPhone won't work with many Corporate email systems

I'm not underestimating the draw on it. I am, however, saying that it's not being bought because it's all that functional. It's being bought because it's an apple product in an industry where apple has done a ton of business lately because it's trendy. It's not because iTunes is great, or the clickwheel is great, or the iPod has a great battery or anything. People are buying it just like they buy other shit for the name.
 
Won't be supported. If somebody came in with a new PC because they didn't like what we had supplied them, I'd unplug all their shit and let them know if it was plugged back in, ever, we'd be having a talk with HR and the policy manual on doing that kind of shit.

edit: I know plenty of people in the "corporate" environment that live paycheck to paycheck and could never afford a 600 dollar phone.

it comes with one of the best batteries around. how often do you switch your phone's battery?

still not as good as EVDO, and your still stuck with all the other bullshit that comes with using AT&T/Cingular. Sorry not worth it, when I can get a faster system on a better network.
 
Ive never hated on the ipod. It does everything you need an mp3 player to do. The iphone is supposed to be a PDA yet it lacks features that you expect from a PDA phone like high speed data.
 
Keeping up with the Jonses is the biggest fucking fight I end up with here dealing with end users. I don't give a shit that little Janie down the hall got a 19 inch monitor that you like better than your 17. Yours was just fine until you saw hers and will continue to be just fine.
 
There are plenty of ways to work around this, including just accessing their mail like they would any other pc. However a bigger problem is the fact that, at least for the near future you can only use the iPhone on ATT/Cingular networks. Their data service blows.
