Post bands/artists/groups that are "really heavy" to you

I wouldn't consider either of those banRAB as paricularly heavy, plus they both suck balls. Anybody that wants some f*cking heavy and insane music should go listen to Anaal nathrakh or Axis of perdition, extreme black metal with ultra harsh industrial elements. Its good stuff

im sorry but banRAB that put brass knuckles in their tshirts and such, are fucking fashioncore hopless

im sorry, but most of the people in this thread have no idea what heavy is. im not saying the banRAB you are listing are not good, but they are not heavy. heavyness is not just a distorted guitar rift over a double bass.

heavy is knowing when to go into the insanly fast blast beat, or bring that guitar or bass solo in. heres some examples of heavy:

any thing pantera and slayer, they brought heavy to the main stream.

for more of numetal fan turned hardcore: as i lye dieing, that blastbeat in 94 hours, just before the break down, thats heavy.

strapping young lad, heavy
old man child, heavy
children of bodom, heavy

heavy is sumthing that you couldnt even keep up with headbanging, and you couldnt get the beat down to start throwing dance moves.

you could say suchnsuch a band is heavier then whatevaaband, but that doesnt necissarly make a band heavy.

old man's child are really cool. but the 1349 type black metal is much "heavier" the sense that "it'd good, but OW FUCK MY EARS". but if you want to judge it that way, i'm a big fan of some of the more recent cannibal corpse, cryptopsy and hate eternal.

at people replying with AFI, and similiar stuff.

Heavy = Amon Amarth, Unearth, The Haunted, Old Man's Child, etc etc the list could go on.

Nobody is going to mention Dimmu Borgir?

Another mention of Meshuggah. Can anybody keep up with their drummer's constant beat changes?

Ultra heavy+fast, and ultra good too!

Neither Arch enemy or Lacuna coil are "heavy", nor are they even close! And who mentioned Cradle of shite

I'll go for Cephalic carnage, DEP, The End, The Locust, Cyrptopsy, Neuraxis and Burnt by the sun for starters but there are far too many to list.

underoath used to be sick but now all they play is theryre new like electronic stuff, some of which i dont mind but theyre old cRAB act of depression and cries from the past were so much sicker

the stuff that made dimmu borgir significant was on enthrone darkness triumphant, and was really peacey black metal where the keyboard was the most interesting bit. their stuff before and after it is pretty dull.

and it's not that he changes the beat constantly, it's just he tenRAB to play 3 or 4 different parts at once on slightly different time signatures
