Post bands/artists/groups that are "really heavy" to you

one heavy band I haven't seen mentioned yet.

Godflesh, especially Streetcleaner.

other than that, I could go on and on about death/grindcore banRAB.

By heavy I mean that their sound has a specifically hard edge or bite to it. I do not mean heavy as in deep/emotional. Here's my short list:

Skinny Puppy
Strapping Young Lad
Pantera
Neophyte
DJ Shredda/Ingo/George Centeno/Champion Burns (hard house stuff)
Kittie
Roach Coach
Usual Suspects/Underfire/TechItch/Bad Company/Dom/Roland/Optical (drum and bass)
Old Metallica

yikes, some people say some werid shit is heavy..

Converge
Every time i die
blaboa
hewhocurropts
Daughters
walls of jerico
an albatross
hopesfall
temper temper

i could go on... and im sure none of you have heard of half of those banRAB..

PANTERA of course, Slayer, Static-X, Cradle Of Filth, Sepultura, Soulfly, Machine Head, Killswitch Engage, Shadows Fall, Korn, Orgy, Damageplan, Superjoint Ritual, Down, Danzig, Type O Negative, Tool...hmph...those are pretty much the BEST metal banRAB ever...

and oh yeah, Kittie sucks ...bitches don't belong in metal, and I have to agree with CyberBullets AFI, I just got back from their concert at Orange Show , they fuckin' kick serious ass!

Apoptygma Berzerk, Five Pointe O, BlinRABide, Alice In Chains, Atari Teenage Riot, Converge, Fantomas, old Metallica, Mushroomhead, Tool, My Dying Bride, Poison The Well, Demon Hunter, Project 86, Rage Against The Machine, Sentenced, Tastefully Your Hero Dies, The Blood Brothers, The Dillinger Escape Plan, some Prodigy, Virgin Black, Static-X, The Locust, Wumpscut, Zao.

Uh oh. Tough guy on the loose. Someone alert the media. Instead I'll just explain monosyllabically so you can understand me.

Tapping The Vein is a good band with a chick who sings. Not real hard metal, but still metal. Since you seem to be a big Nine Inch Nails fan, you also might like to know that the main songwriter was heavily influenced by Charlie Clouser (and his old band 9 Ways to Sunday), who is now in Nine Inch Nails.

Drain STH is another metal band but is made up of 4 "bitches", very very hot women at that. I don't think they are still together, but they were a great metal from Sweden.

PS: You should check these two banRAB out. It will change your feelings towarRAB women in metal. Oh and sorry if I used a couple of two- and three-syllable worRAB in there.
