Popular cartoons you never got into

Avatar - I only watched the first episode, and I was bored out of my skull.

Jimmy Neutron - I watched about 4 episodes and all the specials, and I didn't find it funny at all.

Ed, Edd 'n Eddy - I watched about 2 episodes and all the specials, and I didn't find it funny at all.

SpongeBob SquarePants - I watched about 30 episodes, and I didn't find it funny at all.

Camp Lazlo - I watched about 2 episodes, and I didn't find it funny at all.

The Simpsons - I did watch occasionally early on, but then realized I was only watching because I was supposed to be watching (because everyone said it was fantastic) and not because it was actually funny, so I stopped.

Batman Beyond - First episode was pretty good, but aftewards it was all downhill for me.

South Park - Mostly because I just don't care for the style. However, I did see an episode where the boys were trying to stop Spielberg from falling under the influence of George Lucas and altering Raiders of the Lost Ark, and it actually cracked me up. But I've otherwise had no real desire to ever try and "get into" the show.

Ren and Stimpy - Never understood the appeal.

Rugrats - My brother absolutely loved it at the time, but I hated it. I have kind of grown to respect it in a way in recent years, though.

The Boondocks - For reasons already stated in this thread.

I was a long-time disliker of Spongebob Squarepants as well. But since my brother's girlfriend is a huge fan and has gotten him into, I've started seeing more and more episodes. Some get on my nerve, but I'm starting to see it can actually be a pretty hilarious show.

Shows I never got into or much liked:

Family Guy:
To me it's a second-rate ripoff of The Simpsons and South Park. While I find Brian and Stewie as funny, everything else about it is either annoying, inane, or written by someone with a short attention span and a pile of 80's TV Guides/a pile of ethnic, sex and gay jokes downloaded off the Internet...

Japanese anime: never liked the animation/art style, and didn't find the shows/stories of much interest. Exceptions: "Speed Racer", "Teen Titans" (the latter for the characters/writing, while ignoring or tolerating the anime "wild takes").

Pokemon: repetitive half-hour commercial for video games/trading cards/a truckload of merchandise...

Justice League: Everyone kept acting like a bunch of stupid, arrogant, erm, "jerks" (to keep my language G-rated), which was too close to how they act in the current DCU comics for my tastes. Felt like smacking the cast upside the head "Three Stooges" style. Also, Wonder Woman's "origin" in the show was stupid beyond belief...

Danny Phantom: Saw a few episodes, but didn't make a habit of getting into it...

Tom and Jerry: Kept wishing Jerry and that bully of a bulldog Spike got what was coming to them, but it rarely happened. ;-)

Gargoyles: Think this one was on during "Batman" and/or was busy with college courses, so never really saw it.

Another vote for later "Simpsons" episodes ("later" in my case probably post-season 8 or 9), though since it's a show I *did* get into in the first place (but got "out" of), not sure it should count at all for this list.

All I can think of for now...

Transformers: Okay toy concept, terrible cartoon. Nowhere near as good the praise I've heard about it.

Mario Brothers/Captain N/Legend of Zelda: I understand they're based on video games and that they use the same characters and audio, but that's not much to base all these shows on. I just found the characters dull as dishwater.

Robot Chicken: The jokes where thin way too fast. And the repetition of them throughout episodes doesn't help.

Here's some of the cartoons that I never got into which to me were boring/lame:

Bobby's World
Simpsons
Aladdin
Sailormoon
Men In Black
Jackie Chan Adventures
Batman Beyond
Hey! Arnold
Beast Wars
Outlaw Star
Beyblade
Inuyasha
Wolf's Rain
Sealab
Drawn Together
Justice League(sorry JL fans)
Licensed By Royalty
Ben 10
Viva Pinata
Monster Allergy
Winx Club

Naruto. Despite giving it a VERY generous chance (I watched almost 90 episodes before giving up on it entirely), I could never truly get into the plot or characters.

As a cartoon of today, it's kind of good. Pixiefrog and Windsor are pretty funny, and there really isn't as many butt gags as everyone claims there to be(at least not anymore), but if I had to choose between this or, say, Cow & Chicken, then I'm going with Supercow!

Oh yeah. I can't believe I forgot this.

No matter how hard I tried, I could never get into Transformers, or Beast Wars. It was just so boring. I have the Transformers Movie on video, but I would've given it away if not for the 80's animation by Toei, and the soundtrack.
I also can't stand Gundam, because it's boring too.

Family Guy- I just think it tries so hard to be funny and fails a lot of the time (it especially got bad when it began focusing on the baby and the dog; did the writers forget that "family" is right there in the name of the show?)
Jimmy Neutron- It had it's moments (League of Villains was pretty good), but the character designs looked like ugly dolls, the characters themselves were grotesquely cliched (the genius with idiot friends, the girl who loves him but treats him like crap, the sassy black girl [I'm damn sick of that stereotype especially], etc.), and the episodes were just grating.
Avatar- It's just plain boring, and I don't like the character designs (they look like chimps, IMO)
Foster's-It isn't a bad show, per se, but it's hard to get into for some reason.

I'm shocked how many people name The Simpsons. I find it just unfathomable that someone could possibly find the first eight seasons unwatchably unfunny.

You may just dislike them, but the creator of Boondocks hates them with a burning passion.

Avatar: The Last Airbender.
Scooby Doo
Sponge Bob
South Park
Family Guy
Drawn Together
Every dragonball franchise except Z
Later episodes of the Simpsons
I liked Batman, but never got into Superman
Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy
Ed, Edd, Eddy

They all must die....jk

I didn't get into Rocko's Modern Life until roughly 1998 or so (because the opening always freaked me out as a kid).

I NEVER got into The Wild Thornberries, and pretty much every action cartoon ever made.
