Pokemon the Movie 12 (Third Diamond and Pearl Movie)

Well, you have a good point. But I the only two pre-Generation 4 leagenday pokemon that Ash hasn't seen is Raikou and Ho-Oh. And The series has teased us with Ho-Oh on a few ocassions, but we have never seen the real Ho-Oh since Episode 1... and we didn't even know it was Ho-Oh way back when.

I would like to see the story behind Ash's father. That has a lot of potential. But the GS Plot is kind of a lost cause. Personally, I could care less if we saw the GS Ball ever again. The writers really didn't handle that plot correctly, so it was kind of a bust.

My favorite movies were the 3rd and 7th ones (or whichever one had Lucario in it) because they actually dealt with characters that were not on this Legendary, "epic" scale (and Entei was just a supporting character, really). I don't think this will be one of my favorite movies.

I swear, if they actually introduced meaningful character development into this series or the movies, I'd fall right out of my chair. I drop out of watching the show for years, and other than changing the character who's in the spot where Misty should be and finding even worse voices and translators for the dub (and I enjoyed the 4KiRAB era, these recent seasons have been very rough from what I've seen), not much is going on with the show. Which is sad, because I still love the first two seasons, would watch the third if it came out on DVD, and would probably have never stopped watching it if I thought I was missing anything. Still, as long as it keeps the games humming I'm alright with the current state. Doesn't make me feel anymore confident about this flick, though.

Agreed because Nintendo doesn't know what else they can do with these little monsters. Right after we get Heatran, Giratina, Arceus, and the legendary time-space dragons, we'll only have the Lake Trio and Cressalia. I think we'll get them in the TV series since we'll never have Pokemon's villains in the movies besides the failures that are Team Rocket.

As for the Johto starters, there could be a G/S remake but not before the fifth generation games are created.

What could be the names of the fifth generation games anyway since we're running out of colors and jewel names.

I understand where you're coming from and I respect that. However, I really doubt that they'll get rid of Ash and Pikachu anytime soon. Since the series is still going strong, I don't think that they'll need to worry about replacing Ash. Besides, they've had him as the main character for so long that I think it's pretty clear that they aren't going to get rid of Ash and Pikachu.

As for a fifth generation, I wouldn't put any ifs on that since the games still sell so well in both Japan and the U.S. I just think that they're taking their time with the new generation, especially if a remake of G/S is on the way.

I kind of doubt that Ho-Oh would be the star of Movie 13 if a remake of G/S does happen. I think that it would more likely be a legendary or some kind of Pokemon from the fifth generation in that movie. In all honesty, I always just took Ho-Oh as a plot device to show how special Ash as a trainer.

Maybe Ash wasn't intended to see Raikou. Of course, he can always look him up in a book at a library in one of the towns on his journey but Japan was pretty much trying something out with the Raikou special saying, "What if we did get rid of Ash and just renewed the series with a fresh new cast and the many adventures they would have?"

Now with Ash's father, why not make a spin-off featuring the very beginning of the Pokemon series. The show also has to connect to the Sir Aaron prologue of Movie 8 if possible because even though we have Riley, we'll never know if Ash has had some cool ancestors. I mean think about it: we have the trainer that had the Gastly and Haunter in the Orange Island arc but Ash and the gang only met the Pokemon but it was told that the captain was pretty much like Ash: wanting to be the best and wanting to win in the Orange Island League. That of course could.....be much of a stretch. There there was the spirit that took over Ash's body in the Battle Frontier arc. I know that it was a one-time thing but maybe he did rule a grand city scale similar to Pokemopolis. Then again, it's the writers/translators doing of creating fictional names for Pokemon kingdoms that probably never existed in the anime world, let alone in the worlRAB of the video games. He could've been one of Ash's ancestors that had the same arabitions of...

DUN DUN DUNNNNNN!!!

Giovanni.

That's right, he could have some ties with the Ketchum family even if those ties were just made up to make a good story for a short-running live show. There are SOOO many possibilities that played/could've played a part in Ash's life but those stories are meant for fan-fiction. If Japan really cared for their titular hero, they would've given him more of a back story than "the story is about a 10-year old kid starting off to be the 'Greatest Pokemon Master EVAR!!!!"

It seems like a stretch, but I see your point. Just remeraber, Sir Aaron was, what, over 1000 years before Ash's time, so that's where the stretch would lie. However, I do think a possibility could lie within the Aura Guardians. Remeraber, Aaron wasn't the only Aura Guardian to be mentioned. During the Spiritorab episode, there was a Aura Guardian that had a Pikachu, and that was also a long time ago, but it was after Aaron's time. So maybe the Aura Guardians could have a long term conenction with the present. Maybe there is still at least one Aura Guardian still living today (like a blood line trait or something). Maybe Cynthia could be the current Aura Guardian. She does have those things on her head that reserables Lucario's Aura sensors. Perharps. (Making up this stuff is just too much fun. )

It really depenRAB on how you define being a pokemon "master". But in short, no really, he's not much closer to being a master than he was 4 years ago.

I guess. But the whole Pokemon world can't all be sunshine and rainbows, and there's gotta be a horrible, dark region brimming with satanic Pokemon somewhere.

Even God can be taken down by Master Balls. How irresponsible of the Silph president to give one away in the first place, lol

I actually hope at the end of this generation Ash's story is finally brought to a close, and the 5th gen stars the brand new boy and girl of those games.

I know its unlikely, but after sitting through Ash for 12 years, 600 episodes and 12 movies, you want it to be brought to a close.

I realize the Pokemon anime will go on and on, but why can't they wrap up Ash and frienRAB and start over fresh with an entirely new cast?

Well Sinnoh for me felt very religious so an anti-Sinnoh would be fun to visit. Also I guess there could be other God Pokemon like how there are other forms of Religion and they have a different image of God.

IMO, Ho-oh is the only legendary Ash will actually capture in the TV show. I wouldn`t rule out a movie using him though, since they're Burning through the DP legendaries so fast. RSE took 5 movies to show off its legendaries, and DP is almost finished. Since GSC got so few movies(3, and it shared one with RBY's legendary BirRAB), They'll likely go back and they could try to use the 3 legendary dogs. Also since Entei's movie didn`t even have the "real" entei.

Don`t forget, The Psychich trio hasn`t had a movie for it yet. Regigias was completely WASTED in movie 11. A whole thing could have centered around him and the Regis.
