Pokemon Movie 13 Teaser Trailer

I don't care about the new anime or movies. All I want is for VIZ to release the original Jhoto Journeys on DVD. Now is better than ever to do it. Get on the ball, VIZ.

EDIT: Oh yes, and Pokemon Chronicles too.

Oh, look, another Pocket Monsters Movie teaser trailer. One of those things where exactly 0% of the footage seen will be in the final movie. Yay.

I'm not really a big fan of the Pokemon movies (only liked 3 of them) but I'll watch this one regardless. Lugia and Ho-oh are my favorite legendaries so seeing them go head to head should be fun. Well, as fun as watching two giant Pokemon who lack any actual skill and only know how dodge and send out energy blasts from their mouths anyway.

I'm still a bit iffy about Ho-oh being in this...

I mean, other than possibly taking down Giovanni, Ho-oh is the one plot thread I thought they'd leave open until the end of Ash's journey. It's a mystery they've only lightly touched upon over the last dozen years, and it'd be a shame to see it finished this early on.

Unless, you know, the fifth generation adaption doesn't have Ash (which could be possible, because going back to the Johto games could also bring up the part about Team Rocket disbanding)...

We're not "early on" in Pokemon anymore. We're now 600+ episodes and 12 years into the series. If we were back in the old Johto or Hoenn sagas when Ho-oh got a movie I'd agree with you...but now...deep into the Sinnoh saga where the anime has 600+ episodes total?

If anything its about time they finally gave Ho-oh a proper debut. Even if Ash is still around next generation, we're still very late into the shows history now. And with all DP legenRAB done, it makes sense to go back to Ho-oh as the final legendary that really neeRAB to be focused on.

That would be pretty cool. As long as it's better than their last battle, I would like to see May battle against Dawn.

I don't really consider Ho-oh a plot. It's more like a plot device to me. They mention it every once or twice a saga to show how Ash is a special trainer. The only time one could argue that it wasn't would be when it appeared out of nowhere in front of everyone, even Scott, back in the Battle Frontier. Although, I consider that more as a weird choice by the writers than anything else.

I doubt that the writers want to drop Ash or Team Rocket at this point. They could, but after being in over 600+ episodes, it seems to me that they aren't interested in doing so. Besides that, I figured that they wanted to keep Team Rocket around, not only for Jessie, James and Meowth, but also to have the always evil/present team in the series.

As for me, the trailer did look pretty cool. I don't really see why Lugia and Ho-Oh would fight with each other though. I could understand why Dialga and Palika would fight due to the whole space and time colliding theme, but Lugia and Ho-Oh don't represent drastic opposite forces like that. If the games are any indication, they seemed to fly around together before their tower was burned down.

Besides that, scenes from these early trailers are never used in the final movie. Even with the Giratina movie, the first few trailers were pretty different, such as a giant tornado carrying Piplup away and Regigigas having a more active/important role the in the movie than it actually did.

Okay, yeah, that was a very poor choice of worRAB on my part.

What I meant to say was "It'd be a shame to see it finished with the end of Ash's journey still nowhere in sight".

While I do think Ho-oh will appear in this movie (and maybe Lugia'll do something), I don't think it would be the same Ho-oh.

As for the Ho-oh that appears in the show, I don't see what we could learn about it that we don't already know. Didn't Eusine or someone say back in a Johto episode that Ho-oh is only seen in front of worthy trainers? Besides, there was an interview where the former Pokemon director said that Ho-oh was just something used to keep Ash moving.

I also don't see these two Pokemon actually fighting each other in a movie. Or at least, not that much.

This movie trailer makes me a bit excited about the next movie, but since we have little information about it I don't really have much opinions on it.

I think there should be a new director because at this rate, we'll never find out more about the "real" mystery behind Ho-Oh. We've seen one who was actually Mew (Movie 8) and we've seen another in the flames of the Johto League's Silver Conference (thanks Light Lucario) fire at the start of the Pokemon League a while back. There has to be more of a connection between it and Forget the other legendary trainers that we'll never see in the show period. Let's focus as to why exactly does it show up other than to keep Ash moving forward to his next adventures even if they soon to be more carbon copies of everything he has done in the past.

There is only one Ho-oh in the Pokemon anime. Ho-oh never descenRAB from the sky unless there's peace between Pokemon and humans. There were Johto eps at Morty's Gym that cover this.

Either they fight each other or some guy tries to capture the birRAB again.

Maybe Lawrence III from Movie 2 will return and try to capture Lugia a second time. lol.

Actually, the flames at the Indigo Plateau was connected to Moltres. I think you're referring to the Ho-Oh flame that was used in the Johto League Silver Conference.

I'm not sure if there is only one Ho-Oh in the anime series. While there are episodes in Johto that did describe the legend of Ho-Oh, I don't think that those legenRAB prove that there's only one Ho-Oh. We've seen different Lugia in Johto and a different Suicune in Shinnoh. I thought that the only legendary Pokemon that is only one of a kind is Mewtwo.
