Pokemon Movie 13 Teaser Trailer

I don't think that's the case. They said that Mew is the rarest of all Pokemon, but not one of a kind. Plus, I don't think that the Mew from the first movie is the same one in the Lucario movie.

It's not. I forget whether it was the director or a writer or whoever, but I do remeraber somebody giving an interview and they said that the Mew in the Lucario movie was different than the Mew in the Mewtwo movie.

Mewtwo and Arceus are the only true one-of-a-kind Pok

I'm a little weary too. Ho-oh is supposed to be the Grand Finale of all pokemon movies, or at least Ash's journey. But I think the writers have finally snapped and have become impatient (or perhaps just realizing that only about .1% of watchers have actually been around since the beginning).

Ho-Oh and Lugia have been thrown around a lot for this movie, yet nothing has been said about the movie itself. I kind of doubt that the two will be fighting. Personally, I don't see any reason why the two pokemon should be fighting in the first place. It just doesn't make any sense to me. It's all merely promotional at this point. You can't make any reasonable conclusions.

People need to remeraber that the trailers for these movies are always misleading as hell. And not just the early trailers, either; the final trailer for the Darkrai movie, for example, portrayed Alberto as a villain and showed a scene of Satoshi riding on (what we assume to be) his Pigeot. Yet none of that, obviously, took place in the actual movie. The trailers are basically bull.

For all we know, Hou'ou and Lugia will be as important to the plot as Kyogre was in the Manaphy movie or Regigigas in the Giratina movie.

I sort of envision this movie being a lot like the Lucario movie, actually. It'd star a non-legendary next generation pokemon (in that case, Lucario; in this case, ???) while the already established legendary pokemon (in that case, Myuu; in this case, Hou'ou and Lugia) take a back seat.

There is absolutely nothing out there to support that theory.

I thought that was the case. I remeraber hearing about that same interview too. I actually haven't heard of Arceus being a one of a kind Pokemon, though, with the legenRAB surrounding it, I wouldn't be too surprised if there is only one Arceus in the anime series.

Just being curious, but where did this theory of Ho-oh being the grand finale of all Pokemon movies or Ash's journey come from? I know that it's been a common fan theory for ages, but is there anything else to it beyond that? I don't recall, during that interview with the director, that they were planning on using Ho-oh for the last movie. He even mentioned how Ho-oh was used to show how special Ash is and to make him travel around different regions.

True, but technically speaking, that Mew wasn't a real Pokemon to begin with. It just acted much more like an actual Pokemon than all of the other mirage Pokemon. Though, I haven't seen that special in years and I honestly have no desire to see it again since I really didn't like the storyline.

Well, it is mostly a fan rumor and spectulation, but that interview does show that the writers are aware of how important Ho-Oh is to ash's journey. Why else do you think that Ho-Oh hasn't been featured up to this point? All the movies have featured current generation pokemon up to this point (perhaps with the exception of movie 8).

There hasn't been anyone who said "Ho-Oh is going to be featured in the final movie!", "This movie is the final movie!", or "This movie will be the grand finale of all grand finales!" This theory has only been hinted at on more that one occasion.

As stated, the teasers don't mean anything, and if Ho-Oh only has a minor part in this movie, then it would still promote the rumor that the writers are, in fact, saving Ho-Oh, but you never know...

Yeah, I probably should have thought about how to word that question differently. Still, I did want to see if there was any actual facts for this theory. Since I would imagine that there have been different interviews with people connected to the series, I wanted to see if they had said something that supported that kind of theory.

I'm not sure how that interview shows that the writers consider Ho-Oh as an important aspect of Ash's journey. The interview mentioned how it has only shown up a few times to show that Ash is a special trainer and to make Ash travel to different regions. That doesn't sound that important to me. My guess is that they probably didn't have enough of a storyline for Ho-Oh to have its own movie. They could have had one in Johto, considering it is a second generation Pokemon, but they decided not to do so.

I don't think that all movies have featured the current generation Pokemon. I would argue that the movie 2000 had more focus on Lugia than the other legendary birRAB, or at least equal focus. The Latios and Latias movie was set in Johto, even though they're third generation Pokemon. The Manaphy movie also focused on a fourth generation Pokemon, even though we were still in the third generation, just like with the Lucario movie.

True, but I didn't say that anyone said any of that. I was just wondering if there was anything other than fan speculation to this Ho-Oh theory and apparently there is not. I've heard it for years, but I haven't come across any kind of solid proof that supports it.

I'm not sure if that would really promote that rumor. It could be that they just aren't interested in making Ho-Oh the focus of a movie. They never gave much attention to Raikou, but I don't think that they're saving it for something big. Technically speaking, they never gave Entei its own movie since the one in the third movie was a fake. I think it comes down to more if they could make a movie centering on a Pokemon, legendary or not, and how it would promote the current and/or next generation of Pokemon games.

I think it's just HeartGold/SoulSilver hype. The games just came out a month ago (in Japan). What better way to hype the game and the upcoming movie by showing the star Pok

Not to mention the fact that they need to bring Misty back in the future so she and Ash can get together, etc.

Sorry, shipper moment claimed me there. MY BAD. D:

I'm curious about this movie. I also think the Ho-oh/Lugia bit was just a teaser of sorts and they won't play prominent roles in this. Sadly, I doubt we'll ever see the real end of Ash's journey as long as him and his Pikachu are popular over in Japan. It's sort of like the Simpsons. They'll never age either until the very end of the series, where it'll end in some weird way I'm sure. I'd love to have a timeskip with the main cast and see what they are up to or whatever, but I doubt we'll ever see it in our lifetimes.

I'm putting this in spoiler tags due to it discussing events in Japan.

Kotone (The HG/SS girl) only joined for like 5 episodes, not sure when she'll be back. No, she only has 4, she was on her way for the 5th, but lost to James dressed up as Jessilina. Kind of doubt that since the anime did hint that the Pokeathelon would appear soon, and I'm pretty sure Dawn will still do contest. Not sure about that, but Dawn will probably stay until the show decides to promote the 5th Generation, Kotone will most likely be a reoccuring character at most. As for the Battle Frontier, it will most likely stay in Sinnoh, since Palmer was said to be the Frontier Brain of the Sinnoh Region in both episodes he appeared in, also that episode was like Episode DP141, that's still a short time frame, considering that DP147 just aired. Besides, Ash neeRAB to challenge Volkner and compete in the Sinnoh League before facing the BF.

This teaser trailer actually aired at the end of the Arceus movie back in July. It's only just now being made available on the Internet.

I think the fact that we've been with Satoshi for twelve years is exactly *why* we won't ever see him replaced.

On the trailer site, Movie 13 is still listed as a "Diamond and Pearl" movie. Which means its still part of the current series, even if it focuses on old Johto legendaries.

Ash still only had 7 badges in Japan, its possible that he'll be right at the Sinnoh league around the time the movie comes out next year, so it'll be part of the same saga.

That just proves it even more that this was just hype to get people ready for when the games came out. Having that special distribution Arceus just kept it in fans' consciousness knowing that trading it to HG/SS would unlock stuff.

Thanks for filling me in on things.
Then in that case, I suspect that if they do stay in Sinnoh, it just means that they'll do the Battle Frontier stuff there, then have another arc to cover the Pok

World enRAB in 2012! No.. no I kid, but honestly, it feels like Detective Conan. It just feels as if it'll never end. =[ Though I admit I'd hate to see Ash go off and mature into this awesome badass. I'd miss the tomfoolery.

Exactly. I completely agree. While I understand why some people do want to see Ash's journey end, even though I personally wouldn't want to, the fact that he has been here for twelve years and in over six hundred episodes proves that he isn't going to be replaced. If the writers were interested in doing that, I think that they would have done so before having him as the main character for a decade.

I'm sure that they'll keep the Diamond and Pearl title even when/if they travel to Johto. They'll probably want to focus on the fourth generation Pokemon, as well as the Johto Pokemon to promote HG and SS.

I also don't think that Ash will still be in Shinnoh when this movie comes out next summer. Based on the title I saw on Serebii:

The Team Galactic arc at Mt. Coronet will air in Noveraber. Since Ash only neeRAB one more badge and Dawn neeRAB only one more ribbon, I don't see why they would have Ash still traveling in Shinnoh for another eight months since the movies always air in July. That feels like they would be dragging the arc a bit too much. Besides, I'm sure that the would want to promote HG and SS by eventually traveling to Johto.

A new teaser trailer just aired in Japan. It featured the Legendary Beasts and Celebi, as well as Ash staring at an evil looking imposter. The Title is either "Ruler of Illusion: Z" or "Phantom Champion Z", depending if you believe Pokebeach or Serebii.net
