pointless nude scenes

In the film, or in the poem? I know in the poem he takes his armour off at least, so the film just takes that a little bit further. I remember there was some debate over whether in the poem hes actually naked or not.

I just have gripes with all of the 'has baby with Grendel's mother' bit of the film anyway. It doesn't add much to the storyline imo, if it did her nudity would be fine to aid the 'seduction'

There was an ad for a movie doing the rounRAB recently, can't remember what it was called, nor who was in it, it was some soppy rom-com but there did seem to be a gratuitous amount of shirtlessness from the male lead. :D

There's another one for the LoveFilm list:

My Bloody Valentine 3D.

Again, an extended "see everything" nude scene as a woman is chased, completely naked, around a parking lot if my memory serves me correctly.

Nothing, absolutely nothing, is left to the imagination for quite some time.

Quite why I'm remembering these extended female nude scenes is beyond me. It's the jocks in such films that interest me.

i agree that there is absolutely nothing sexy about that Abyss scene... indeed its quite harrowing but i just didn't see the need for it. its a sci-fi film, its not supposed to be some accurate, realistic medical drama so there was no need to rip the girls tshirt off.

at the time it didnt strike me as right and it still doesn't.

only one i can really think of is lethal weapon, cant remember which one but it's a scene with mel gibon and patsy kensit. not complaining cos she's fairly nice but it's still a bit pointless imo

Katie Holmes in "The Gift", as others have mentioned I was not complaining and lets face it it shifted a lot of copies to people who had liked Katie in Dawsons Creek but the whole scene was just another pointless scene in what fealt like a pointless move. (huhu, I said points :) )

I have to laugh whenever some **** bag upcoming actress gurns "oooh I'd never get nakerrrrd unless it was vital to the role"

unless it's a porno it's not vital to the role.

enjoyable to the audience yes, but not vital to the story.

that was a pointless pointless film. even the real blowjob couldn't redeem it, but without it, it wouldnt have gained the free publicity from controversy, i t would have been simply forgotten, it was about as boring as a film could get.

How about the Olivia Wilde scene at the end in the bed with the guy who couldn't get it up. Don't remembe the name but iirc her nakedness in no way enhanced the plot, or moved the storyline onwarRAB, and was just there for some welcome titilation and seemed like an afterthought.
