Pointless- New quiz show on BBC2 (merged)

I'm sure not even the densest of the 100 people asked is going to answer "penny" when asked what the currency of the UK is.

I wonder if all the 100 people asked are resident UK citizens?
 
It does get more slick as the presenters get into the swing of it a bit further down the line.

we are on show 21 and it was running fine by then.
 
I thought of Esio Trot, but that wasn't pointless. I remember reading the Vicar of Nibbleswicke, couldn't remember the title.

What was the International Flags question? This was the only episode so far I missed. -_-
 
Surprised that they didn't mention the obvious equatorial country Ecuador in their deliberations, since that's what the name means! In any case it wasn't one of the pointless ones though.


I had forgotten, but there were actually two Bothas - PW Botha was a correct answer, but they chose the other one - Pik Botha.
 
This has been a little gem of a show, sad that its not back till next year, flog it,pointless and the hairy bikers have been a wonderfull treat these past weeks. Great to see a show that engages the viewer and it seems to have gained a good following.:)
 
Definitely a bit too touchy feely, overacting kinda old man. Pillock.

Not sure why they had to change the format. The Weakest Link hasn't changed since it's started, has it?

And yes, the skippy counter is quite annoying. Cutting corners or costs no doubt. It's a real shame.
