Pointless- New quiz show on BBC2 (merged)

The final catagories are cruel. Does anyone know about Asterix? All I remember is learning French at school by having to read about a little man in a viking helmet. Because I was rubbish at French I still don't know what Asterix was all about but I loved the drawings.

Eileen and Barbara have been given an armchair ride so far. On 'an Eponymous Shakespeare play' the other teams went for Hamlet, Macbeth and an incorrect mangled version of Troilus and Cressida.

I liked it, especially the guy next to the computer - I learnt a few things.

It was obvious the guys who got those difficult capitals would probably win, they were pretty unlucky not to win the money though

I'm always wondering who these 100 people, I'm guessing they try and make it a completely random sample (e.g. public on street)

Well I would also like to know who these 100 people were who could reel off many characters in Romeo and Juliet - English professors perhaps? :D

I have been asking around and nobody can name any - except for the obvious of course.

But however big a seller the album was, if you've never owned it you're unlikely to be able to name any of the obscure tracks, which is what matters.

Liked seeing the "Pointless first" yesterday - a score of 100 as opposed to a wrong-answer 100 - complete with previously unheard sound effect :)

Just a heaRAB-up.

No Pointless at all next week, according to the TV mags.

BBC afternoon schedules all over the place due to the Commonwealth Games. Don't know if it's just off for the Games or until later in the year (and there's not much of that left).

Bummer! I blame Daphne, I expect it was her fault... I'd love to go on Weakest Link but I'm not sure I could face the Queen of Mean!

Fot the International Flags category, my friend suggested flags with stars, which I though was quite good. I came up with Federated States of Micronesia, Suriname and Somalia as a few potential pointless answers. Or Ghana, Liberia, Burkina Faso. Now I'm getting carried away. I also like that they keep the categories as sometimes you'll watch a programme and wonder what the question would have been.

That Dragon's Den question yesterday was horrible! I would say that was a bit obscure- it's not like it's a hugely popular show. I'm not surprised that woman was pissed off- one bloody point!
