Please help me with my car CD player!!!?

Whenever I put a CD in my car CD player, it makes a loud "EERRRRR" noise, stops, starts the noise again, and finally spits out the CD. Whats wrong with it and how is it fixed? Also, should I even bother fixing it or should I just replace it?
