why is Bell TV behind...Rogers has CNNHD, Starchoice has had TLCHD for awhile now...correct me if i am wrong, but the add says Canada's best and most HD channels for BELLTV....half of what Bell offers is crap...and now to top it off...Shaw cable has added GOLFHD, and Bell is nowhere to be seen.
I am spending over 95 dollars a month for BellTV...i expect to have the best and most..not have to wait while the other companies get it first!

Scrooloose,

You missed 805!

How could you miss the HD Fireplace. It's "burning" some quality bandwidth.:D

There are several channels that Bell has the Rogers does not - TSN2 for example and the HiFidelity channels (Oasis, etc) were not added to Rogers until this week, while they've been available on BTV for a long time. Bell still has the most HD, but Rogers is catching up. Also, Golf was just added to Canada and I'd expect BTV to pick it up shortly.

BTV has a whole raft of channels that are not available on *C or Shaw, so selecting one channel that's on these providers and not on BTV is grossly unfair.

Bell is missing GolfHD, but someone mentioned is in testing mode, CNN HD, SpeedHD, Omni 1\2 HD, E! HD and SunTV HD.

Starchoice customers are lucky that they don't have Global HD and all western Canadian Nets. Im not comlaining but stating a fact although if there was no simsub I would not care if bell added all the different Canadian nets. I wish the same local channel law was here in Canada like it is in the states. Meaning that I would only be allowed to have locals from my city only. And by locals I mean CTV, Global,CBC although I have never had a simsub problem with CBC. Now if no local channels were available in my City then I would have the option of the national feeds(Toronto,Vancouver) if I wanted. Since CBS,ABC.FOX,CW are not local channels to Canada all customers would have them of course. Again im not complaining im just saying it would be nice. And no I will never switch to another provider for all of Bell's cons I believe there the best provider for me.

Hahaha, really, how many channels do the other providers have that Bell doesn't?

Please, do I really need CNN in HD??? Or a 24 hour golf channel.....Maybe if I'm suffering from insomnia
How much of the content that they show is 4x3 upconverted SD material??
Add GOLFHD to that list of HD channels that I'm not dying to see....
I would love TLCHD though, so I agree with you on that

I too have wondered if they have the most HD....

FYI, Star Choice is missing the ScoreHD, CITY TV HD, Global HD, All Western Canadian HD, Raptors HD, just to name a few lol

Why do you wish you only had your local CTV, CBC, Global, City etc?? If its that big of a deal seeing the networks from across the country, make a favorites list with the channels you want.

TLC HD was added this morning. When did anyone care about Golf Television? Honestly, Bell is missing a couple HD channels, and people make it sound like it's dozens. Get real.

Sweet!
We watch a few programs on there, and have been hoping they would add it!
I guess this makes up for my price increase!

I too also noticed TLC HD. Now I can watch Jon and Kate plus 8 in HD :D

As a recent customer of Bell I thought that they had the most HD channels. I did considerable research and that's what I found out. Unless other providers recently added new HD channels, then my research is dated. I would very much like to see Space in HD.

And unless I'm mistaken Rogers is missing (compared to Bell): APTN, CBC West, CTV West, Global West, PBS West, Movie Central, TSN2 and all the French channels (save SRC -- that's a good 10 channels right there). I don't think it has Golf TV either?

About everytime I watched TLC HD on SC is was always some garbage upconverted. never subscribed to it because it wasnt very good hd in my opinion

Rogers doesn't have MC because that's a "western" channel and Rogers is an "eastern" service provider, therefore providing TMN instead. TSN2 should be up in the next week or so.

It's sort of unfair to list all of the BTV HD channels (without an asterisk) because some of them are not available in the east and some not available in the west, so, unless you can be in both places, the list is partially hypothetical.
