Sorry I have to disagree at the moment- Disneys Animation Studio have to be at their lowest ebb and I'm afraid that boss Michael Eisner is the man to blame. Treasure Island, as usual great design and animation, real crap story, an insult to RL Stevenson's original. Then Eisner decides to rip the heart out of any traditional Disney fan by reworking classics like Peter Pan, Jungle Book and Lady and the Tramp and re-work/re-make under the guise of sequels using terrible animation and bad scripts just for a quick buck on the big screen and video release. The final straw was the deal with Studio Ghibli when they managed to hide away one of the best animated movies ever made 'Spirited Away' and only releasing it to about 6 cinemas in the states and then not even bothering re-releasing it when it won best animation Oscar (thankfully I got a friend to bring back the DVD from Japan last September- it truely is magnificent). Also where is it's UK showing? It's already been shown on Japanese Tv getting the biggest viewing figures for a movie on tv out there. The quicker Pixar get out of the deal with Disney and go it alone the better, after all their next one 'The Incredibles' due in November 2004 looks.. well Incredible!
