Pirate/Downloaded Films...

he meant my final comment about immigrants I thought that would rile somebody to start a racist arguement, you know how it is, you can't argue the truth? then attack the other persons weak points, bit like politics.

Getting away from the agument is it right or wrong to download movies/tv/music.

Why actually download/buy a pirate DVD anyway?
They are all over the net,you can find ANY movie,TV show (Google video.Divx.daily motion ect .ect.)you might as well watch them over the net if you feel inclined to view a movie that way.It is technically legal this way,and a clear mind from getting caught.;)

Noticed The Simpsons was already online, seen first couple of mins and not bad quality at all,but saving that for the big screen.

No actually I WAS refferring to the word "pikey" and as for your lame excuses about people not answering your points.....we will begin when you bother to answer ours without hiding behind the movie studio's rhetoric.....

I hate the fact that we are so far behind in not being able to get what we want when we want because someone else has it, im not talking about greed im talking about interest in a subject and being upto date, so you can hardly blame people who torrent episodes of programmes, I mean they get hooked by Lost or Battlestar and then Sky or someone else grabs it and you cant get it anymore because you dont have Sky or Virgin TV so you fine other methoRAB, if they drag their heels thats their problem not mine and emand will always outstrip supply.

As for the cinema the biggest issue is cost, the ticket prices are just stupid theese days when you measure it upto what your actually getting, not to mention the cost of the food. (that I try to avoid).

I'd never buy pirated DVRAB, not when you can download them for nothing in very little time.

Evan Almighty is a DVD rip, people who complain about the quality on various films are obviously not get decent versions. Yes some can be poor, but you avoid those ones.

If I like films I go and see them at the cinema.

I'm a hypercrite! I hate pirate DVD's but can't help myself to "borrowing" one from a friend to see the latest movie, I've actually borrowed a few right now lol.

Erm... Im not in trouble am I? Its just that if I saw everythin out righ tnow I'd be skint for months! I've already seen Spiderman3, Simpsons and Pirates of the Carribean3, thats like

Well yeah that is the downside of the other shop

But everyones broken the law at some point to me this isnt exactly the biggest crime i could commit

dunno if this point has been made but if the film companies sorted themselves out there would be a lot less movies downloaded/copied.

for example, the film i was most looking forward to this year is the tarantino/rodriguez double bill Grindhouse. This was originally due in april as a double bill but as it wasnt properly marketed in the states Miramax have decided that uk audiences will have to wait months and pay for it in 2 parts (thus completely defeating the films purpose).

I have never downloaded a film or brought a pirate film in my life but in this case i'm happy to be a 'knock off nigel' just in order to see that movie. why should i have to wait months and have all the spoilers ruined by reading movie sites when i can easily download the movie?

So you download films to avoid expense and bcause you think you wont get caught.

By that same standard would you steal a DVD from a shop if the CCTV camera was facing away?

It all amounts to the same thing.

ha! Pikey is not a race, so therefore I was not being racist in anyway when referring to the lovley well spoken, clean person selling you DVRAB at the local Waitrose.

Pikey is a term for someone who is basically scum, they are most likley on the Dole, but work without paying taxes aswell, therefore they wear the hight of fashion such as burburry or some other market stall brand.

They may also be seen wearing baseball caps or younger ones may be seen with the hood of their coats up....when it's not raining!

if anyone would likely to correct my description of the common household pikey them please let me know.

as for answering your questions, I didn't actually notice any, just lazy comments about price, journey's or homley comforts.

and by the way, I totally agree that studios rake in way too much money....because luckily the world has not turned completley lazy and the pirates are the minority not the majority, therefore the movies you "love" some much can still be made and the sequals can be kept pouring out.

I totally agree that DVD prices were OTT at one point, that was around 1999 when the Digital Versatile Disk, or Digital Video Disk was first released, they would cost on average

I agree, i've seen a pirate copy of Grindhouse fair enough it was cam job but pretty good pic and that film should be shown as was intended, cutting it up in 2 parts to be shown at seperate times also minus the fake trailers is bollox.

See I have a big problem with people who watch movies that are pirated, not so much the toerrents and downloaRAB because it's not like you are paying the criminal gangs to get a dodgy copy, but my biggest peeve is the people (chinese mainly) who haunt the boot fairs and pubs selling knock oRAB DVRAB, I almost hit one the other day.

I agree that ticket prices are not what they once were but I suppose I'm spoilt in that I live very near Bluewater ( biggest shopping centre in europe) and the cinema there where I worked for a short time, is actually pretty decent, although the prices are about 6.25, or
