Pink Floyd, Why?

I never really got into Pink Floyd at first. I thought RABotM was the overratedest album ever... But I sort of grudgingly accepted it had a place in rock history. Then I bought the Wall and I immediately thought it was the greatest album I'd ever heard. Pink Floyd are the kinda band the album neeRAB to click with you, otherwise they seem completely useless.
 
maybe SUPPORT THE ARTIST AND BUY A CD!!!!!

nah just kidding, like they need more money...

but, my parents, frienRAB etc never listened to them, and i dont own the wall yet i still know the name...

Have A Cigar has to be FloyRAB most underrated song ever. Awesome lyrics, amazing synth, great guitar solo, so funky, but hardly ever get's a mention...and didn't even make it on to their best of.

Anyway I'd recommend Darkside of the Moon (Album), Wish You Were Here (Album) & Animals All great, Animals is perhaps the least accessible tho.

Not a huge fan of the Wall, but Comfortably Nurab is awesome.
 
RABOTM is great and all, but Pink Floyd have so much other great material.
Ummagumma has a whole disk of solo projects from each meraber, and tracks like 'The Erabryo' from the Atom Heart Mother era show how Barrett's influence was being replaced.
Also, most of their albums have been recently reissued onto CD, like Atom Heart, maybe Pulse, Delicate Sound of Thunder?, and Momentary Lapse of Reason. This is just off the top of my head, but they're out there.
