maker;13974501']I like my mini, but the lack of RAM really killed it for me. Just like with the N97, the mini will get slow over time after installing programs and transferring music/videos to the mass memory.
I regret giving away my e63 to a family member. Every time I see them on it, all I want to do is play NES or SGEN roms because it ran ROM's so well! Playing rom's on the mini is absolutely horrible as you have to install a program to emulate the center D-pad button (that all other Nokias have). Once you are able to select a game with the fake button, it is still mandatory to put frameskip on 4 or 5 depending on how bad it performs.
On top of not being able to game easily, I cannot get python for S60 to run ever since I've updated to v12. It Sucks because half the network tools that I would use was ran on python. So, now I tug along the e61i to play ROMS, use my network tools, and social network "apps" and I use the N97 mini as a camera, hotspot, music and video player, and as a GPS.
Here's some highlights & extra's of the N97 mini:
-lack of RAM
-poor gaming ability
-reboots or freezes when receiving phone call (before v11)
-usual memory leak (fixed with RAMblow)
-tiny 1200mA battery
-antenna right where you grab the phone (of course you learn to "hold different" like iphone4)
Here is my advice: wait 3 months after the N8 is released, read some of the reviews that will pop up, and if it's a great phone, go and get it. If not, go get the N900 because the N97 mini is just like my old N96; A glorified camera/GPS.
