What I dont like about the n900 is the size, ...

They both have excellent call quality reception typical nokia's strengths

they both are excellent qwerties

I Like Maemo, which has 'screens' like android.. But that size just borthers me ( twice the size of a droid )?

N97 mini. ..common complaints is that its slow and nokia messaging sucks.

Any Experts could Chime in ?

Agree with Dr Tran, wait for N8. N900 is a great experimental device, but not sure for everyday, also if you think that Nokia Messaging sucks on the mini believe me that it sucks double on N900.

My N97 mini has horrible reception, had a N95 before. Night and day difference.
How many thousands of people bought a N97 because the N95 was so great? I feel like such a Sucker.
My advice...don't buy Nokia, My next phone will be android.

the N900 sucks. it's a specs wizard but when you get it in your hands, you'll find everyday tasks (like making a call, taking a picture) are adventures...you never know what you'll get

Orly? I agree that the N900 dialer is lacking, but there's nothing more strait forward than sliding open the cover, pressing the camera button to take shots and then touching the screen to upload to your favorite share service. How complicated can pictures be?

let's see, sometimes the pictures turn out green. other times, it takes a few seconds to even get the camera app to start.
the video camera drops frames every few seconds

With my vote its tide to 3-3 now. Of those two, I say easily: go for the N900. It's a beast when comparing to the N97 Mini ( specs wise at least)

if you are going to do an N900, get the $199 special (trade in a phone, get a rebate to bring it down to $199) hell you can trade in any phone, even a 5 year old one w/o a camera like the nokia 6030, and still get the $199 price

i still have this problem--check this picture out:

maker;13974501']I like my mini, but the lack of RAM really killed it for me. Just like with the N97, the mini will get slow over time after installing programs and transferring music/videos to the mass memory.

I regret giving away my e63 to a family member. Every time I see them on it, all I want to do is play NES or SGEN roms because it ran ROM's so well! Playing rom's on the mini is absolutely horrible as you have to install a program to emulate the center D-pad button (that all other Nokias have). Once you are able to select a game with the fake button, it is still mandatory to put frameskip on 4 or 5 depending on how bad it performs.

On top of not being able to game easily, I cannot get python for S60 to run ever since I've updated to v12. It Sucks because half the network tools that I would use was ran on python. So, now I tug along the e61i to play ROMS, use my network tools, and social network "apps" and I use the N97 mini as a camera, hotspot, music and video player, and as a GPS.

Here's some highlights & extra's of the N97 mini:

-lack of RAM
-poor gaming ability
-reboots or freezes when receiving phone call (before v11)
-usual memory leak (fixed with RAMblow)
-tiny 1200mA battery
-antenna right where you grab the phone (of course you learn to "hold different" like iphone4)

Here is my advice: wait 3 months after the N8 is released, read some of the reviews that will pop up, and if it's a great phone, go and get it. If not, go get the N900 because the N97 mini is just like my old N96; A glorified camera/GPS.
