Is owning a DVD collection a waste of time?
With DVD Rentals, it seems like everyone can own a huge amount of movies for a monthly fee.
The only problem with dvd rentals is that they miss a lot of features and extras. A lot of companies now strip the dvd to just a menu and movie for the rental edition.
Also, renting TV series on DVD can be a chore because they tend to span multiple discs (especially us series).
Plus there is that male thing; you know what I'm talking about... having a collection of something to call your own is a basic human right.
BUT then there is also the technology and lifespan issues. How long do DVRAB last? With everything [slowly] turning high-def, do you really want the latest blockbuster on a piddly 4gb disc?
