I know Christian is amazing. I don't understand how he doesn't have an Oscar already. I need to see his new movie Rescue Dawn and I'm not there. I just haven't had a chance yet.

I agree about kirsten beign overrated
I think Seth Green is underrated. He can do comedy and drama both very well and yet it seems like it's all "you play scott evil!"

Every single teenybopper actor and actress out there is overrated. Hillary Duff, Chad Michael Murray, Lindsay Lohan, Ashton Kutcher, the Olsen twins, Frankie Muniz, Jessica Alba, Nick Cannon, and so on.
With the possible exception of Amanda Bynes (I said "possible").
They're overrated because it's not even about their talent (or lack thereof), it's about the new "insert actor's name" movie. And not in the Clive Owen, Don Cheadle, Emma Thompson, Bruce Willis kinds way where these actors actually go out of their way to... wait for it... actually act.
The teenybopper movies are all about "watch Hillary be cute and innocent" and "watch Jessica be hot" or "see Nick Cannon be cool" and "see Chad Michael Murray be a pseudo-thinking version of a shallow hot guy"...
That's not acting. That's product placement. So, for all I know they actually have talent, but it doesn't matter. Enough of those.
And it translates into adult actors, too, but to a lesser extent. Movies about "Tom Cruise - Action Hero" or, egads, even "Robert DeNiro - Former BadAss Turned Into Spoof of Himself" do not interest me.
Now, as far as I'm concerned, Tom Cruise was never a good actor. Now he's a whack job to boot, but he always pretty much sucked. He's the quintessential teenybopper ("watch Tom Cruise be good-looking in a car, in a plane, in a bar..." turned adult.
Robert DeNiro is obviously one of the most brilliant actors we have. But what the hell's happened to him? I'm sick of seeing parodying himself. He did the freaking Rocky and Bullwinkle movie, for pete's sakes!!! Enough!

Katie Holmes, Tom Cruise, Lindsay Lohan ( who gets more attention for partying and being too thin) and every single actress who is always in tabloids magazines just because of how "thin" they are.

I think Cameran Diaz is overrated also. I really liked her in The Mask & Something About Mary and now I could careless for any films she is in.

Overrated Actors: Jaime Foxx, George Clooney, Tom Cruise, and some others. they bore me and play themselves in every movie basically
Overrated Actresses: Scarlett Johansson, Jessica Alba, Julia Roberts, Halle Berry, Charlize Theron, Angelina Jolie, Jennifer Aniston. and others. they're either stiff, too overdramatic, or play themselves in every movie

Jessica Alba - Need I say more? Yeah she's beautiful, but her acting is horrible. She is so non-believeable. I mean her looks is what draws the viewers in, cause it's definately not talent.
Marissa Tomei - Has to be one of the most UNDERATED actresses. She might shine in the spotlight once or twice, but my gosh she is such a vesatile and wonderful actress. I love all her movies just about it. Espcially - Untamned Heart & My Cousin Vinny.

Well, I agree with all of you - and I especially think Kal Penn is uber hot. (and so's John Cho)
Hmm...you've named a lot I'd name, but I have to add Tom Hanks. I used to love him but I'm soooooooooooo over him right now. He's sitll a good actor, and all, but people seem to think he can do no wrong - his youthful charm wore off for me a long time ago and I don't care for this older Hanks.

The problem I have with Lindsay is what I said before:
It is so obvious she is a product of marketing and PR more than actual talent.
This is the only way to describe how she gets roles along side the likes of Meryl Streep and Al Pacino (upcoming) because she is not some deep, acting prodigy like other actresses her age... Like Natalie Portman who is slightly older, but can ACT and has a wide range of roles.

Tom Cruise because as others have said, he has gone insane -- literally -- And has gone out of his way to prove he is insane to keep himself in the spotlight. He has no sense of humility and this is what irks a lot of people like myself. I do feel sorry for Katie Holmes regardless of whatever rumors you hear. Anyway you cut it, she has made a terrible choice, consciously or uknowingly, and now there is a child in the picture and this just exacerbates the situation 10 fold in my book. So sad...

She actually has talent to back up her bubbly charisma -- which I think it what some of you have a problem with -- And is a far deeper person that her roles and media persona portray (I know this first hand; she is very passionate about serious issues and wanting to help others).
Granted, some of her roles may not be the "deepest", but again, like most young actresses, she is slowly coming into her own and can only get better as she gets older... Because she does have actual talent... Unlike some of the others (Lohan; Hilton) who don't have a sense of perspective and who they really are and want to be.
