Fort Hood Shooting Suspect Granted Delay in Case Until October



Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan's military attorneys were granted a delay until Oct. 4 to further prepare the defense for his Article 32 hearing, which is similar to a civilian grand jury proceeding in which a judge hears witness testimony to determine whether the case should go to trial.

Prosecutors have not announced if they will seek the death penalty against Hasan, who faces 13 counts of premeditated murder and 32 counts of attempted premeditated murder in the worst mass shooting on a U.S. military post.



This fucking mutt should have been executed 2hrs after it happened. But instead we'll waste tons of money on the whole fucking thing.
 
there are certain situations where the whole process is nothing but a waste of fucking time and money
 
what's the point of even having the process in place if we just skip it for "special circumstances"

eventually everything would become a special circumstance and the process would be pointless.
 
usually with these things i feel lke they end with suicide or cops mowing the guy down. not too manty trials. i can't believe this didn't end with SOMEONE shooting back at a MILITARY base. how did they end it?
 
in order to preserve the integrity of the system, you have to accept certain drawbacks.
you can't just cut corners with the judicial system.
