What's not to believe? There are a great many circumstances that allow a
person to retire at 35. Doesn't mean you made so much money you could
retire as in really retire, you just stopped working. Hey I am 49 and I
recall a time when most of the families I knew only had 1 bread winner. It
was so quaint. Mom's stayed home and raised their families because they
could elect to do so. Some even went back to work when the kids were
fledged. I mean it's pretty ancient history now but it does prove it can be
done. Even more ancient history - at one time people stayed in the same job
their whole life. It is still done ya know. I know at least one guy who I
went to high school with who is still working for the same company he did
when he was 17.

I'll say it again, this group has a high asshole ratio. Sometimes the
bullying makes me want to just quit and never look back. And the offenders
KNOW who they are. I don't have to name names.

How so? It is true that I am not a fan of tattoos. I was not the one who
said that I hate all tattoos. I have stated quite clearly that there is
a line where they go from benign to bizarre. I will grant you that there
are primitive cultures that used tattoos. There were some African tribes
where they used to knock out their lower teeth and cut their lower lips
in order to accommodate increasing larger discs. Even those tribes have
pretty well given up those practices, but we are not Maoris, Innuit or
Ubangis, so there is no reason to adopt their old cultural standards of
beauty.


Feel free to ignore, but I know how hard it is for you to keep your
stupid remarks to yourself.

Yes and in case anyone thinks we are rich, we are in this situation because
we have been very careful and we still are. I have seen the people Sheldon
described who go mad when they retire and get some money. It is very sad.
On the other hand, we have seen people who retire early who have died soon
after:( (Husband was in the military and it was common among retirees) I
guess we all make our choices.
