That's the trick. We used to have a gold card because it carried travel
insurance at no charge. Then they cut it back so much that it didn't cover
what we needed, so we traded it in for your every day basic card. We went
on vacation and used the new card for expenses. After a couple of days I
tried to use it in a shop and was told it was rejected. After proving I was
who I said I was, they allowed the purchase, but advised me to call the
company and straighten it out immediately. As it turns out, the new card
didn't have any "history" and it put a red flag on the card when I used it
in Florida. When I called I was told "Good news Mrs...... We have found
your card in Florida". LOL....At least their system caught what could have
been a problem.....Sharon in Canada
