OT to all you haters

i usually don't see sheldons posts unless someone else reposts... I guess he
has difficulty telling the difference between the basic hygine of combing
one's hair and a tat you spend big money on and then can't see yourself...
as to the dh looking at me, he finds me pleseant enough that we have been
together for over thirty years, and when he is looking, its not for artwork,
unless its the magic he provides to my soul and body...

and btw nad... being a christain, this might sound odd to some, but yours is
one of the most reasonable reasons i have ever heard for getting a tat,
sorta putting your money where your mouth is, i respect that even if i don't
agree with your position, Lee

I can not reply to your hateful replies. My newsserver is giving me an
error message that the header is too long.

This is the last of what I will say about it. I am 51. I don't care if you
believe me or not. I retired from my job of 17 years at the age of 35. I
had no choice. I got married and the company I worked for at the time no
longer did transfers to other states unless *they* sent you there for some
reason. It was just as well because not long after they filed for
bankruptcy. I will still be getting my pension. Those who stayed on may or
may not. I am not going into what I did. I am sure I have done that
before. If not, oh well. I'm certainly not going into it any further. I
have had a job since then. Again, not going into it.

I was a dancer. Was. Am not now. Am disabled and again not going into
that any more. Daughter *is* a dancer and goes to a very good school. If
you don't believe me, I don't care. I really don't. You all (and you know
who you are) have spread so much hate I am certainly not going to give you
any more information.

I know who I am. I know what I do. That's all I need to know.

I think everyone who has read your posts on the subject knows now that
for some reason, you have chosen to hate body ink.

The reason why you hate it is what I'm more interested in. Please
share that if it doesn't make you uncomfortable.

Well they are eating it! Sorry, my bad. I can remember my mom asking me
why I was treating some people the way I was treating them. And I'm not
going to get any more into it than that. My reply? "Because they let me".

In some of the circles I run in that's known as being a "yabbut". The
Yabbut is a person who, when given advice says "Yeah, but..." and then
gives a reason why the advice doesn't work/doesn't suit them/isn't going
to be followed. No matter what the advice is, the source, or how well
it's worked for other people in similar situations.

Of course it is pointless.... because your argument is ..... just plabe
stupid.

No. You have it backwards. You are a fool to think that.

There is much more to race than skin color, however tattoos like other
aspects of race operate through the symbolic... it's the total package
of traits that symbolize a race and the symbolisms imparted by tattoos
that some shallow minded folks fear and so that is why they "hate",
they fear the symbolism, not the thing itself... color is actually the
least of it, no more than fear of a sun tan. That's why mixing of the
races is a good thing, perhaps in another 10,000 years there will only
be one race and racism will no longer exist, if humanity survives that
long... odds are it won't.

i will say this, if i got one i would feel i had disfigured my body, but if
you get one, i don't beleive its disfigurement unless you draw that
conclusion after you have gotten it... and i don't hate them they just
aren't for me, Lee

And I'd bet there isn't a tattooed person out there who doesn't know
they're permanent. That's why I don't get all the flapping about "but

choice anyway.
