First of all, the telescope you are having trouble with could be that the primary mirror contains alot of moisture. You would need to give it some time for it to dry up on the mirror. Also, make sure you adjust the eye focus on the telescope until you get the stars to appear sharp and less blurry.

On the EZ finder, you would need to call Orion Telescope. They will further assist you and send you EZ finder. I hope this will helps. Good luck with your telescope.

I have just recently purchased an Orion XT8 telescope directly from Orion.com. I assembled it today. I did everything it said. The only thing is it did not come with an EZ Finder II but it did not. I do not know how to aim "correctly". I live in a suburban area with not much light pollution. It was looking out at 10:00 pm local time(EST). I could see lots of stars and could easily recognize little dipper in Ursa Minor. But, when I looked into the scope and I rotated it, I either so black or round discs floating on it. I do not know if that is the primary mirror reflecting. I let it out for 30 minutes to adjust to the darkness but did nothing. I need help because my son loves his astronomy. Also, should I get the EZ Finder? And give lots of tips and good ideas for a beginner.
