I have 2 mtx audio tr55 10s powered by a ma audio 1000 watt amp in a ported box. Do you think a 10" ORION HCCA 10.2 in a ported box powered by a 2000 WATT SSL Mono Class D AMP in a ported box would beat harder and louder than the MTX?? And on another note do you think 2 POWER ACOUSTIK PSQ-10W 10" would beat harder than both with proper amp?
Also do you think i will need a new alternator running this many watts? Jeep Wrangler.

First of all, Power Acoustik is junk, so forget them.

Dont listen about MTX being better than Orion. MTX has went downhill in the past few years, and they are relying on publicity of their "Jackhammer" line and tricking ppl who dont know a whole lot about car audio into buying them.

Orion subs are amazing. If you can afford the power for the HCCA sub, it is a absolute monster. Theres better out there, but it will cost thousands. I never heard of SSL before, and Ive been working with car audio for 10 years, and been to a lot of competitions. Do not go with a off-brand amp. If you want the Orion HCCA 10's, you need a amp pushing at least 2000 watts rms, preferably more, because these subs are very underrated. Some good amps are American Bass, Sundown, Kicker, Oz, Rockford, Orion, and many more. Cheaper ones that are descent are Hifonics, and (I hate to say it) but Lanzar Opti is surprisingly descent (Lanzar is a lower end company but their Opti line is descent)

Pushing this kind of power is going to require a high output alternator and a couple extra batteries in the trunk. The more, the better.

Any questions, feel free to ask!

I would stay with mtx. orion just isnt good as mtx but the amp makes a big difference. if the orions have more power they might be louder than the mtx but wont sound as good. but for the power acoustik i havent heard them but its hard to beat mtx.

I would avoid Power Acoustik, that's more of a wal-mart brand.... their amps are okay thou (i hear, but haven't heard them myself), but I'd stick with Rockford Fosgate for their amps.

anyways, between those subs, I'd stick with the better sub makers between those manufactures, MTX.
as for Orion, they used to be good before, but the quality dropped these days. So stick with MTX!
