The fact that the orion weighs more has nothing to do with how loud it will be. I love Orions myself though and Orion should make an 18". The btl will be louder than the orion because it is bigger and has more cone area. Its also has a slightly higher sensitivity rating then the Orion. Between the 2 I would get the btl if you have room for the masive box it will need.
