Organic or "Regular"?

I like organic stuff, but it is so expensive. I simply don't have the money for it

obviously the regular veggies/fruits all look perfect 'cos lots of them are GMO. they seem more attractive to the eye & taste sweet. Potatoes for example, i think sure they taste sweet but regulars don`t have the potato taste anymore when compared to the organics.

My issue is with meat. With five growing kids to feed I need quite a lot but I'm just fed up to hear what cows are fed on these days. So I've gotten together with 3 other families and we sponsered a calf that grew up on an organic farm, with many others, and when it came time for butchering, we paid for a butcher who spent the whole day cutting the cow up into steaks, stew and mince. Each family got a quarter of the cow, which is a lot!. You need a freezer and even though, pound for pound, it's expensive you know where the meat has come from and what it has been feed on.

my nutritionist told me that organic food in the long term doesnt make any difference. Regular fruit and veg has always been the go for me..

In terms of health, i don't think covering regular veggies/fruits makes much difference 'cos i think chemicals are absorbed by the soil & then inside the plants. my aunts aren't pro-organics at all, they think washing their veggies is enough. Personally i don't think washing is enough.

I prefer organics as well. Fruits & veggies are so much better in taste not to mention that no chemicals is in there. When i eat the regular fruits & veggies, they all seem tasteless....like the mung bean sprouts, when i stir-fry them, the organic ones have this sweetness in them.

I prefer organic but it comes down to the fact that I can barely make do so I buy regular stuff and deal. Buying organic adds up pretty quickly

Organic Mac and Cheese is so good! I love Amy's.

I love organic chocolate milk! It tastes delicious.

actually mine sometimes lasts for 2 weeks & i'm serious. some organic bananas won't be ripe in a few days.

I wish I could afford more organic food like the awesome stuff they have in Whole Foods. But it's seriously so expensive. Unless it's on sale, I go regular. But I will spring every once and a while for their homemade vegan cookies. :D

That's the thing. There's no Trader Joe's in my area. That's why I kinda miss it.

We do have a whole foods kind of store not far from where I live but the prices are ridiculous. At Joe's, they have the organic stuff for a fair price.
