I don't want to sound big headed, but have the questions got easier? I seem to be getting 2 or 3 connections from the first couple of rounRAB each week, last series I usually only got 1.
The righthand contestant from the Gamblers (not DavidBill) kept glancing down during their wall. So I rewound it to check and VC's "attributes" were in his eyeline!
I was quite pleased with myself. I got more that usual. I got the MBE on the first clue
And I was pleased with the vowels round. I got quite a few and liked the DeJa Vu joke.
I got the wall connection but unfortunately thought it was Judo not Cricket
I'm torn like kennyT the missing vowels round is the only one where I consistently score points but I don't thinnk it is fair that a relatively easy round like that could have cost the gamblers their win.
Why couldn't they do a free-for-all version of round one?
But, remember DavidBill's comment that they deliberately decided to be careful during that round so they didn't lose any points so that significantly contributed to the good round their opponents had.
Questions were very engaging. Although, they risk alienating much of their audience with unattractive nerdy contestants seemingly picked for they obvious gawkiness and the use of superfluous Greek letters etc.
I've completed four, totally failed on one, and on the others have had varying degrees of success from getting two connections and knowing what one of the others was but running out of time/lives to knowing what some of the connections were but being unable to connect the correct four. Can't work out if they're easier than the ones on the programme, or whether I was inspired.
I'd say her humour is more along the lines of sarcasm than irony and the way she comes across would appear she's trying to ridicule others less intelligent in order to make herself look superior. Sorry but I find her whole attitude very arrogant and condesending. But having not read her column in the Guardian I will reserve judgement on that.
