One Piece: Strong World (feature film talkback)

NAKAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

*Dance Break*

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A poster (not Greg) on a certain One Piece board confirmed he could not describe the sheer epicness of the film.

Nonsense! Trying is good! I think I shall look around for juicy details at some point.

I skipped through a lot of that review and tried to avoid some of the spoilers.

That being said, if I lived in Japan right now, I would have to decide between this, Kamen Rider DecadeXDouble Movie Taisen 2010 or the Ultraman mega-crossover movie (because some evil god decided to release all three movies on the same day).....I'd probably pick this

Since I'm not big on One Piece to begin with, I read most of it and sheeeeeeesh
The ending was kind of nice, it seems to be written very well done.

Oh, How I would love to see this now, it just sounRAB incredible. Sigh, It's such a shame we won't be seeing this flim in America until 2011 at the very least.

Daaaayuuumm...that is a hot picture.

Who knew Tanaka could look that awesome. (They sure were going all out for this one weren't they?)

Well, I've read enough to deduce that this definitely seems like the best One Piece movie in terms of story. Well done for sure. I'll venture a guess that it's genuinely excellent, considering that the reviewer definitely comes off as a skeptic but still found plenty of praise for the movie. I'm actually glad it took until movie 10 for this kind of effort, since there are so many more characters and abilities and plot points to work with than there were much earlier in the series' life.

To all my Toon Zone One Piece fans, I'm glad to bring you good tidings:

Strong World beat Ponyo and Harry Potter...and shattered some more recorRAB.

That it is.

One question about the film plot.

The tone dial, who is it addressed to? The entire crew or just Luffy? I ask because that last line takes on a very different meaning if it's the latter, so for the sake of canon I'm hoping it's the former.

I always like to think it's a little bit of both. Oda has stated many a times that this is an adventure manga so shipping elements are a no-no. Despite that I do like to think that he has put enough emphasis that Nami does have a certain intimate affection for Luffy. Not in a lovey-dovey manner but if you've seen Arlong Park you should get what I'm saying that arc pretty much defines how they relate to each other.

O-chan

I'm just curious since it reminRAB me of a lot of stories where the girl confesses, but the guy didn't hear it for whatever reason and logic quickly takes hold. I'd be lying if I said I didn't find the pairing interesting, but the focus on adventure is what keeps OP from being well...Naruto.
