On Cubase 5, how do you connect a MIDI keyboard to play on there?

I recently thought of getting Cubase 5 Essential, and I would like to be able to connect my Yamaha GRX to it. I would like to be able to use the voices on my keyboard as well as the functions on Cubase. Is this possible and how does this work? Thanks
