Old Kicker 1200.1 amp/Fi Audio BL 18" Dual 2 ohm question?

I have an old kicker 1200.1 amp and do not know its ohm stability and I'm wanting to buy an fi audio bl 18" dual 2 ohm woofer. My question is what could happen if I wired the woofer down to 1 ohm and the amp isn't 1 ohm stable? And how can I find out if my amp is 1 ohm stable?
