OK, so why isn't the public screaming for alternative energy NOW?

I should get a job with a cousin of mine and start promoting my ideas.. She's the Director of the USDA Rural Development in CA.

I'm never quite sure if I should believe in global warming or not. Either way, the people who decry it are fucking retarded because they completely dismiss it while ignoring the other effects of pollution

Of course its feasible. Cost is the issue but as more and more people use it, the cost will come down.

I definitely think it's a model that could have pretty good returns, it's just so different.

That's still expensive. Shit was under $1 when I started driving and that wasn't even 10 years ago

Saying that just made me feel old

People forget that agriculture is totally dependent on oil/natural gas too.

Fertilizers, pesticides, and farm equipment are all oil based products.

In order to capture the same amount of energy dispensed from an average gas station in one day from the sun, you'd need 100% efficient solar panels that cover the entire state of Florida. Fossil fuels have a shit ton (yes that is a precise term) of energy within them.

Nuclear is better but impractical for transportation.

just turned 27 today

i still only have to spend like $25 a week on gas, short commute ftw

"You know we should stop buying gas and put Big Oil out of business"

"Hey you have a cellphone?"

"Of Course"

"You know it takes eleventygallons of Oil to make that, right?"

"Ohshi......"

Right now that is a huge problem. The current transmission infrastructure can't do long distance.

That's one purpose of the movement towards a smarter grid. That includes better long distance transmission.

thats like saying no pop will overtake coke or pepsi so minus whale not offer anything else
