J jeeper_peeper321 New member Jun 21, 2009 #2 Actually the attrition rate for Navy basic is around 13% You just get sent back home and are a civilian again. In alot of cases, after 6 months you can try again. Most people who do not make it thru basic, do so because of pre existing medical conditions The next reason is injuries that occurr in basic.

T tai D New member Jun 21, 2009 #4 It depends. Medical discharge out of bootcamp is not unusual. But if you do some shiatty thing like punch your RDC, yeah, dishonorable discharge is prolly in the cards for you.
