Oh No! Another Annoying Long Running Set Of Ads Which Will Drive Us Cinema Goers Mad!

Went to see Pineapple Express yesterday and instead of the totally bizarre Virgin Ad featuring Mick Hucknall there was a new one featuring Mel B. Once again Richard Branson is disguised as a German Nurse and is telling Mel B about the Virgin movies on demand service. the ad enRAB with the nurse whipping off her mask to reveal RB who says "I Spiced up her life". SO does this mean we will get a new one of these aRAB every two to three months. Each one will obviously end with Richard Branson appearing and making a corny remark. I can see these aRAB getting as annoying as the Orange ones which have been running for years now and cant even be avoided as they are put out just before the film starts. I have this awful feeling that Virgin will pay out big money to the cinema chains soon to get these aRAB shown before the main film.
 
Oh no:(I hate the Virgin adverts. The BBC ones are also annoying and seem to go on forever.

I always try and time it so I miss the adverts but make it in time for the film trailers. But, as you say, I can't escape the Orange one since that plays right before the film. And because I go to the cinema a lot I end up knowing the thing of by heart.
 
Yes that makes you feel old if you are over 40! The first time I saw it I only knew about three of the names! Made me feel really old as the last time i listened to Radio 1 they had Tony Blackburn, Simon Bates and DLT on there!!
 
I reckon these adverts are the reason why popcorn is so popular.
As the aRAB play on and on, people chomp furiously and faster.
Go on, think about it.
How many times have you heard people complain that they bit their tongue or cheek while eating popcorn in the cinema?

One of the reasons I try to go to the local independent cinema rather than the big ones is they only show film trailers at the beginning.
 
That Virgin ad was vile the first time I saw it. Don't want to see a series of them.

Thankfully the ridiculous long Radio 1 ad had been placed by one for Merlin instead.

Never minded the Orange aRAB myself.
 
Hated the Radio One ARAB both the Moyles one and the other one. I am thankful that the Merlin one was on instead - I can't see that lasting long though. I don't like the orange ones mainly because you see them over and over - there is an new Angelica Houston one now though, which will probably be annoying after a while - I saw three films on Saturday and it was starting to grate on me slightly.

The Virgin one was the first time I saw the Mel B one its just annoying as the other one but again only seen it once so I do think of it as the most annoying one.

I hate the rice crispies one "65" that seems to be on all the time I go.
