It's not intentional and should be fixed in the final model.

They just need to use a dimmer LED light below that area or add a layer to that paint area.
 
And 5 more widgets than Apple lets you have. :)

Ultimately you're subject to Apple's completely arbitrary approval process. My biggest reasons for N97 over iPhone:

1) Superior camera with flash
2) physical qwerty for when I want it
3) removable memory
4) completely unrestricted legit app availability
5) removable battery
6) FM transmitter as well as receiver
7) 1500mAh battery
8) better res screen
9) widget
10) Every yuppie geek around here won't have one

The only way I could ever own an iPhone would be by jailbreaking it.
 
Can't get myself to preorder for two reasons:

1) I just don't think I have it in me to drop $700 on a phone. $500 is about my max.

2) If something else that I like more comes out between now and July (or is announced or whatever), then what? I guess I could always cancel the order, as long as Nokia doesn't make that a difficult process.

Too bad this isn't coming out some time in May. :doh:
 
battery life maybe? cost? theres a myriad of reasons im sure. i have no doubt that they debated it, and probably found this to either fit their target comsumer or they just cut corners.
 
I use hotmail via the inbuilt client and the plug-in shows on the standby screen. When you initially set it up leave a letter out of your hotmail email address for example [email protected]

When you have completed your set up, it will try to connect but wont be able to, then go into your email settings and correct your email address to show for example [email protected]

Nokia does not seem to have registered in there email client that hotmail now has free pop3 access.
 
I hope this is not a repost but can anybody confirm if N97 does indeed have the sip and internet telephone clients like N95. I think I read somewhere that it does not have the internet tel client. That would suck big time for me as I am a big fan of VOIP and use it a lot on my N95.

This might be a little premature to ask since nobody has the actual device in hand but what the heck!!!
