I'm on your side Jonny but I'm afraid you're not really articulating your arguments well. Why should Uxi wait if the phone does what he wants it to?

Also please tell me that unlock screen doesn't ship with the phone. That is ******** copying than chinese iPhone clones. My god nokia.
 
I noticed in 1 of the chinese videos posted last week,1 person had "star trek" the movie on there n97.

Will the OVI store have movies to download? Is it possible to download movies from something like limewire and then transfer on to your n97 and watch it on the phone?

Is it possible to download a dvd on to your pc and then transfer on to your phone?
 
I always used Exim SPUC screen protectors. Worth every penny. Had it on my N95, N85, N76 and the Iphone. Perfect fit and very durable. I phone works perfect with it on.
 
Just looked at the pics of the black phone...really hard to say until we actually get it...but I can't imagine owning a white device...laptop, phone, whatever-but just my opinion. Man, we have nothing else to do..I'm gonna watch the Lakers-Magic
 
I used to buy online, but when you factor in exchange rate + shipping + customs + taxes, it's usually cheaper to go to a local import store with cash in hand. The only time I go online now is for rare or hard-to-find stuff that import shops might not carry (X1a comes to mind).
 
I plan on keeping the phone but just in case it's not my cup of tea I want to know I can return it. I can say something to the effect of "menu button doesn't work" so I can get a refund. Hey, it's only Amazon.
 
Yeah, Apple has been following that pattern for years with iPods and I see a lot of people drooling about them, Nokia really needed to focus more on software and that's what they're trying to do (with a lot of difficulty but trying), N95 was so ahead in terms of hardware that now N97 looks "outdated" when in fact the rest of the companies just were able to catch up with Nokia during the last year. Symbian going Open Source should have the advantage of getting more voices inside and that's why I think this is a good move because until now Nokia has been pigheaded (I think this is the right word :hehehe: sorry for my english) with S60 implementation and need modern ideas and new people working on it. I'm sure that Nokia is already working in a new hardware platform but the real question is if it will come with Symbian or Maemo given the rumors that they will focus more on Maemo in the future for high end devices.

I'd rather get a 500$ unlocked jailbroken iPhone then 1000$ locked iPhone 2009 for which I'll have to camp outside stores for at least 1 week!!

camping for PS3 was worth it without signing any 2 years expensive contract. I only waited 17 hours outside Bestbuy and managed to get one ps3 which to my surprise I sold it for 2500$ in less then 24 hours!

I just called to cancel my first order which was $774. I managed to get another order in on the "coupon glitch" for $507. I probably could of had the first order delivered then had it sent back as "refused shipment" for a full refund but wanted to avoid any trouble.
 
Reading that brief post about the release of the NAM model being pushed backed to July 3rd really disturbed me at first. But as I continue to wait, I figure I would have more time to build up my savings account.
