yeah I saw that :D But there are still alot of things about how the apps are integrated on BB that I like, such as the push alerts on facebook, and of course BBM. Is that a feature that would be included?

I've been pretty busy with the new year at work. And just got back from a ski vacation in Colorado so I've been kinda just lurking here. Trying to curb my new phone addiction as well :buddies:

I think their just riding the waves of the touch craze right now..

On this ongoing World Economic crisis, A Wrong move can be a devastation..

I just hope they don't abandoned phones that uses keypads, bar phones..
 
Damn that's right. On my laptop, I am most fond of the 4 up to clear the desktop (and would prefer that if apple did the 'privacy screen' sort of function). I don't really care if they changed the MBP's to do one finger swiping and had you do a constant touch or whatever to move the mouse... or if they changed the iphones to do 3 finger swiping or what not... I just think it'd be better if they were consitent (or at least allowed you to set in preferences for that).

Anyhow, obvious the iPhone isn't suitable for me, thus my interest in this device which should be superior in just about every way except the marketing machine.
 
There's no kinetic scrolling so it's choppy if you try to scroll too fast. However, the scroll bar on the right is easy to grab with your finger and scrolling with that is very smooth
 
that is sad about N97 not supporting exchange, but when i had E90 it did pretty well with my former company that uses exchange abd MS server, nokia fully supports exchange and there are 3rd party stuffs as well, so i think that should be resolved soon....

and yes, not all uses exchange, my new company still uses Lotus Notes...
 
Totally agree. This is very much what I'm comparing it to. I love having the option of either laptop mode or flat mode on my E90. If they had only stuck TV-out on it (it still beggars belief that they didn't as the form factor seems to cry out for it) and a slightly better camera, I would have no reason to want to replace it. Its size is a non-issue for me.

honestly though...with the n85, xm5800 and the n96 being recently released...one can only wonder what other phones nokia will release in the 'first half' of 2009 besides this n97...its like nokia is creating a competition of devices within its own realms...interesting tactic considering that there is only one g1 and only 1 iphone...
