*OFFICIAL THREAD: Nokia N97

If you can fill up 64GB on a phone, you deserve a medal. LOL.

I honestly don't think I'll ever push the capacities of storage on this phone, I could but I doubt I ever would. I have trouble filling the 8GB card in my E71 (I only load the music I currently feel like listening to and when I get tired of it, I delete and fill with something else)

I'm actually looking forward to Windows 7, but the N97 will be here first! Still I've come to a point where my phone is where I see my e-mails first. So much so that I don't even bother keeping Outlook running on the laptop. It's actually more useful IMHO to just look at your phone for information like that even if I am by my laptop.

Good luck on getting your 5800 fast. Let us know what you think about it.

I don't know a lot about programming and the like, but usually doesn't software come out first that kinda sucks, and then the hardware catches up? I don't think that developers will be like "omg, theres more ram and a faster CPU now, let's sit here all day and program new things that we never could have before!!"

It's been a long time since I used a touchscreen phone and even when I did use them, they were usually crap and I ended up ditching them after a few days (Samsung Instinct, Samsung Omnia, LG Prada).

As much as some of us praise and some of us trash Nokia, I think we can all agree on something...at least they aren't LG because as much as I comment that Samsung makes crap, they churn out Jesus phones compared to LG

Well... yea... but hopefully, I'm actually very hoping, that some people still learn from their mistakes instead of ignoring them... right? For a phone announced in December 2nd to be released in June 23rd, they better be working their azz out. I mean *******, I've never been patient in my life, but now i have no choice... I'd get a prototype if i could, lol.

But anyways, I knew i was right. I knew 850 euros was impossible! Just today, Expansys lowered their price:
Handset Only Price: ?689.99 (867.580 USD, 1,122.33 CAD)
Still a little pricey... but June is far away, once again using the word "hopefully", expansys competitors are gonna emerge, forcing each other to lower a bit down the price... (I still expect 1000 CAD for this phone, i dont tihnk i can any higher... might as well get 2 eeePCs for it)

Anyone heard about this?

new Nokia N900 to be released later this year. Posted on Mobilecrunch this morning.

- quad band GSM, 3G 900, 1700/2100, 1900
- sliding qwerty keyboard
- 3.5 in. touch screen
- 32 GB storage
- 5 mp camera
- 800 x 480 resolution
-TI OMAP processor
- 1 GB memory and 768 MB virtual memory cache
- running Maemo OS instead of Symbian

It is set to be released in Asia and T-mobile supposedly later this year. Hope I am not the only one ticked off about such a soon release of a phone with a much better processor and RAM. The n97 will still fit all of my needs just fine, but just wondering why Nokia would one-up their flagship phone so soon?

I am speaking in terms of a corporation who wants to sell things. I have my own laundry list of things I want done to the iPhone but Apple will fill only a fraction of those. They just need a spec update and a few more features and boom hottest cell phone on the planet.

The N95 when released was great, but there are basic usability issues in it that Nokia still hasn't fixed on a flagship that's came out 2 years after it. I don't agree with all of sr's *****ing but there are valid points in his page long rants. I don't read all of them though

Considering there is also a rumor of a 9" apple tablet later this year I'm curious as to what will happen at their next developer's conference.

This is true multitasking and thats with 128 mb of ram, to bad the n97 is not optimized like the n85 lol, and i donty crash when browsing and listening to music at all. :buddies:

Just got off the phone with dell, and they still are claiming that my N97 will ship on June 12th. Not sure if if believe them, but at lease it gives me hope. I am almost on the verge of buying a E75 just to hold me over.
