Well, yes it does say that on the page, but Nokia's page says that also and we all know what happened there. Just wanted to see if they put in an authorization like Nokia does.
Matte surfaces scratch easily too. I agree the back needs to be flat (unlike the iphone 3G) so it can lay flat but the corners don't need to be beveled. And even with matte surfaces you can give it some design character...
Isn't the push e-mail service still labeled as a trial though? I believe it cited reasons as nearing completion.. I don't believe the service is in gold status yet.
Have a white one on pre-order from NokiaUSA, black one on pre-order from MCO (or is that the other way around? ) and if SN Traders gets it early at a reasonable price, I'll buy one from there too.
While ASAP is not soon enough, I can wait a couple weeks for my preorder price. Looks like the guy who called it coming out after the Amazon page going up was right. :buddies:
Doesn't that go into the fact that they are building on something that has already been done and they can tweak it to the max rather than use something brand new and not know the bugs? Maybe they can squeeze more of what they have now and be more comfortable?
But I am disappointed that they are not keeping up with the new tech on the market.
Well a week ago many of us got the order amount blocked and nothing happened.... Let's hope this time it's for real, btw I don't have any amount blocked in my card right now.
Best would be to make it optional. Let those who want swipes assign them, let those who don't disable them. I would definitely prefer some other things enhanced first.
I already pre-ordered mine. The website won't accept your Canadian billing address but they will over the phone. Call the 1-800 number to place your order
Well unless the lack of information from Nokia actually means they have made some very major changes it won't even have an OMAP2 never mind OMAP3 processor.
As directly after the N97 was announced i took part in a Q&A with the product managers and i asked if it had an OMAP processor or not the answer i got was that it is running a Tuned ARM11 processor that apparently gives both great performance and battery life with the 1500aMh Li-Polymer battery.
This was all discussed on the first day it was announced way back at the beginning of the thread and as much as i would love it to be true and that they changed there minds. I really don't think a lack of published information can be taken as any sign that this is what has happened, but we can but hope.
