Because by then we will have N uber thousand which has 10MP with double xenon flash, 7G speeds and cuddle screen display. Sure it will have the * (asterisk) button on the bottom left, but this will not be a big problem for fanboys like me.

I guess you missed the video posted a few pages back detailing the kinetic scrolling feature of the browser on the N97 (ie. flick once and the pages scrolls continuously until you tap the screen to stop it). Why do you keep posting in this thread considering you hate this phone so much?

The sky is completely washed out (should be blue or at least show cloud detail) due a lack of dynamic range in the sensor. I didn't really expect any better to be honest.

for what its worth Im going to try the Omnia HD for the time in between the launch of the omnia and the price of the n97 to come back down to earth. Basically the only reason Ive got though is pure boredom. Oh well, such is the life of mobile phones.

3G latency is the killer of the web experience on phones. 500-600ms is a crazy amount of latency and hits whenever the browser asks for another part of the web site.

the phone looks excellent and i dont see anything negative to take away from the video. its everything we were asking for in a phone a year ago. now its a year later and the combination of touch screen, quality media player, high quality camera and slide keyboard are the norm. its just not a blow you away, blockbuster device. that said, at a reasonable price i think the 'jack of all trades' is a fantastic purchase. for $700 i need something leading edge.
